Winter: Tobboganning hill with climbing stairs with rails. You can find enough snow to do 1/2 or more of cross country skiing in the park.
Summer: There always seems to be a baseball game during the week in the cooler early evening hours you can come watch. You can play beach volleyball or kids can play on a number of playground site equipment. There are lots of picnic sites and basketball hoops to play under. Great for walking and even better paved roads and lots of them for ebiking. You can ride under the highway through a tunnel to the climbing hill to the Saamis Teepee. Almost a seperate area within the park is there for birders who want to see orioles, chickadees, blue jays and whiskey jacks living in a natural water habitat. There is a totem carving. there are Leopard frogs to look for and lots of signage to explain natural areas in the park. Note: no smoking allowed in the park.
Dogs: Its an onleash area but they do have a watering bowl outside the brick washroom building closest to the highway. You gotta watch out for the odd snake near the natural waterways.
Perfect for family reunions for cookouts or group celebrations that are bbq related. There is a cookhouse for sudden rainy weather. Lots of washrooms and an outdoor bandshell.
Despite being beside the highway its fairly quiet due to the large number of trees in the park absorbing the sound. Some music festivals are held. Check with the local visitors centres.

It is a very nice park, lots of green with picnic benches here and there, a small creek and you can enjoy beautiful sun set. It's located next to the Trans Canada Highway not far from the Saamis Tepee. You can park the car near the skateboard park on the Kipling St SE, or at the end of Kin Coulee Rd SW. It's a quite big park.

We have gone here for years. It’s a great place for bonfires, group gatherings, youth activities and walking. The autumn colours are gorgeous here.
The kids love climbing the hills and there are huge open grass areas for lots of sports.
It’s also a great place to ride bikes.
Great park!

This is a fantastic place for walking all year round and for tobogganing in winter and for all kinds of activities in summer. The trails connect via tunnel under the highway to even more park space on the South side of the trans Canada. If you access from the South side you see the Teepee (Canada’s tallest) and the Tourist info centre; most tourists would access the park from this side. But take the trail that goes past the TP and go down the hill into the park and you can walk the extensive trails for a good hour if you have time. The golf course is right here too.
