Stopped there on 8/7/23 the man there was very rude when I tried to ask questions about the different peaches. My granddaughter also asked why he was so rude. The peaches were hard and 3 days later not much better. We will not go there again.

I stopped at Johnson’s on Friday, 7/28. There was an elder employee outside and 2 other customers. I asked about how many pounds was in a small basket. He said, “There’s the scales… weigh them!” I decided to buy the larger peaches by the pound. By the time I got them, the worker had gone inside and taken the scales with him. I went inside and couldn’t believe what he said to me… “Were you going to stay in your car until we closed?” (This remark came from me spending 60 seconds in my car before getting out. Just enough time to get my phone charger out of the console and plugged in.) What an attitude!!!! When I left, the time was 4:38 pm. They must close at 5:00 pm.
I usually stop at the Berry Patch and should have done it this trip. Just for comparison, Johnson’s gets $30 for a peck of peaches verses the Berry Patch price of $22 for the same size. You can buy a delicious ice cream cone with the money you save!!!!

I am convinced the peaches I bought were shipped in from California. They were exactly like the ones I buy from the grocery store. I let them ripen on my counter. They never really ripened. They just shriveled and were spongy inside. They were terrible. I could be convinced that Johnson's peaches froze like all the others around here and they decided to remain open by buying from California. It that was not the case, they should eliminate that variety. They were dry as a bone! I have bought from Johnson's for several years with great success. Once ripe, the peaches could be peeled with my fingers and were really sweet and juicy.

We bought at Triad Farmers Market; they were recommended. Had been purchasing from other vendor and were pleased there.
THESE PEACHES TERRIBLE! They are small, hard until they rot inside. I think they must nuke them! Or they could be from a much earlier pick and been in the cooler a long time.
We won't go back.

We stopped at Johnson's today and purchased a peach dumpling for each of us. It was awful. We have gotten the peach dumplings in the past and found them to be delicious. I got a scoop of peach ice cream on my dumpling and it had no flavor whatsoever. We also bought a small basket of peaches and they are hard as a brick. They look ripe but when you bite into one, it is hard and tasteless. We will not waste our time or money again at Johnson's.

We drove two hours (on our 39th Anniversary) because these peaches were highly recommended to us. I’m hopeful about the peaches but, the service was a bit rude. I was looking at the peaches, trying to find the most ripe ones (we were buying a half bushel), and a gentleman there told me I wasn’t going to find soft ones, they save those for the ice cream. Then he raises his voice over everyone and tells me, “No swapping ma’am, just in case you were thinking of doing that.” 😳
I wasn’t thinking of doing that…I try to be respectful of the farmers and their hard work…but, WOW, I was taken by surprise by this. Honestly, we probably won’t make this ride again…I was disappointed by the experience.

I love peaches and this place did not disappoint. Oh my goodness I got the homemade peach ice cream with sliced peaches on top. It was heavenly. We will be going back again before the end of our time here.

We stopped in for some fresh peaches and ended up buying pears, pickled peaches, some canned pickles, peaches and some fresh hot peach cobbler. DO NOT miss the cobbler! You can skip the ice cream if you are concerned about calories but the cobbler is really delicious. Too bad they don’t take credit cards. They may be a little jaded by the clientele but if you want great peaches and some local flavors do stop in.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Picked up a peach to smell it and the old man running the register yelled at me and accused me of trying to take peaches from other baskets to make one wanted
They only take cash, but can't wait to tell you about the ATM inside that charges a $3 fee . They must get a part of the fee.
GO TO KAWALI PRODUCE A FEW MINUTES AWAY. EXTREMELY FRIENDLY.

We made a hour day trip to go to Johnson’s 🍑. Great peaches and great home made ice cream. I got peach dumplings and a small scoop of peaches ice cream. It was great but I like to have a bigger portion of ice cream.
