If you're expecting a ghost tour, you need to find another company for that. This is more of a folklore and myths tour and mentally puts you in old San Antonio. Randy is a great story teller!

After speaking with Randy 3 times, he was a no show. He had my phone number. I called him & texted 3 times. I have still not heard from him. There was also another couple there that he stood up. Save yourself the aggravation!

Took this tour a few days ago, and am still angry about it. Maybe the tour guide was having a really off night, but many people on our tour left before it ended because we simply could not understand the guide. I am not sure if he was trying to act, or if he had some sort of medical or other problem that affected his speech, but it did seem that his speaking was clear and normal both before and after the tour. So, perhaps this is a voice that he adopts for the tour? He gave no explanation of it if it was a "character"-- especially since he was not in any costume that would have gone along with the character he was attempting to portray.

He was unintelligible in his speech, and he even said in the first 30 seconds that "this is NOT a ghost tour--- I am NOT a ghost tour guide, I am a storyteller of lore and a professional liar." Uh..... so, why is your company named "SilverGHOST tours?"

It was a horrible evening, and I felt sorry for many of the people who were tourists. I only traveled from an hour or so away, so I wasn't technically on vacation, but almost everyone else on the tour was.

He should rename the tour to "Randy Tells Hokey Legends Along the Riverwalk". At least that wouldn't mislead people. But, at least he WAS honest about one thing--- he did, indeed, tell many "mistruths" along the way. Being an area resident who was with visiting friends for the weekend, I knew about the area. Wow--- he told some real whoppers, but I didn't want to stop the tour and call him out on it. Let's see.... he said that Kerrville was founded by the French, which must be news to them since it in no way whatsover was founded by the French. He also said that Davey Crockett wasn't a real person (uhm, he was) and so many other things that I thought that maybe his personal entertainment, perhaps, was coming from pulling the wool over the tourists' eyes.

He seems like he is probably a nice older man personally, but you can't take people's money and deliver such a horrible and misleading product. But, had I read reviews beforehand, I would have known what to expect. It was my mistake in not doing that, so I only have myself to blame.

Uhm, wow. Literally just finished the tour and thought I would write this before anyone else was unsuspectingly duped into this. I'm not sure if the gentleman was trying to portray a character or why he inexplicably began speaking with a horrid "Irish brogue meets the Wild West" accent, but literally the tour began with 18 and ended with 9--- and the Guide literally never asked why people were leaving. I can tell you why: we do not know what you were saying.

He spoke with his back to us, he didn't use a mic, he mumbled, he never made eye contact, he was literally so used to telling these stories that he had no passion and seemed to be on auto-pilot.

I am so appalled that someone like this would have the audacity to take tourists' money. Are there no regulations for theses types of operators? Of those that didn't bolt from the tour, most were eye-rolling or openly angrily talking about how horrible this tour was. There were no-- none, nada, zilch-- ghost stories. Only hokey old legends that where horribly told, waaaaaaaay too long, and boring. Plus, at the end of the tour as we passed the Tower of Americas, he inexplicably described two suicides in the 70s in awful detail and then made flippant comments about the bodies when they hit. For his sake, he should hope he never has a family member of one of those young men on the tour. Very inappropriate and odd. The best part of this tour was when it ended.

Randy is not a ghost hunter. He is a story teller, and his stories are all true. His delivery was spot on and very entertaining. Don't miss this.

Do not under any circumstance let this guy take your money. We bought the tour for our grown children and grandchildren. We called and made reservation for tonight. We personally talked to Randy and he gave us instructions to meet him at the gazebo at 8:45 to start tour at 9:00. We had the family take cab to make it in time, only to have Randy rudely turn them away. This included our 9 and 7 year old grandchildren who were extremely disappointed. We called to try to discuss with him why he was turning away our family after we talked to him to confirm reservation and got directions. He refused to talk to us. Threatened to call the police and walked away.....after being paid for tour. This man had no reason to turn our family away, no reason to be rude, and ruined five family member's first night of vacation. Do not ever give this man your business.

Tour guide and history buff Randy does an excellent job of recalling legends and historical goings on that exist in such great number in old San Antone. With tongue in cheek and stories delivered as if he were on stage. Randy makes the history and folklore of San Antonio fun and entertaining. A true gentleman and great orator. Don't miss this delightful tour and fall in love with the Alamo City.

We have taken this tour thrice now, just because it's a fun way to see the Riverwalk area late at night. Randy's storytelling skills and manner are the icing on the cake. This isn't a gadgets and gizmos, gimmicky "ghost hunting" tour. This is a scary myths and legends tour, and it is FANTASTIC.

Randy was a great guide and very animated. If you are expecting a "ghost" tour, this is not for you. More of a folklore tour.

This really should be called "Silver FolkTales" or similar. Randy does tell you at the very beginning this is not a ghost hunt/tour. You get a nice walk and he does tell some great folk stories/legends of San Antonio.

The very rehearsed speeches he gives in that scottish/irish accent really does make it very difficult to understand him at times.. he's rattling off memorized lines.

Don't pay full price for the tour ... find the groupon!
