La empresa se encargó de todo, desde recogernos en nuestro hotel en un minibus muy cómodo hasta garantizar que tuviéramos una experiencia inolvidable. Primero, hicimos una parada para tomar fotografías, una oportunidad maravillosa para capturar el hermoso paisaje griego. Luego, nos llevaron a un beach bar fantástico donde tuvimos la oportunidad de hacer snorkel y disfrutar del impresionante mar Egeo. Después de nuestra aventura en el agua, disfrutamos de un almuerzo increíble en una pintoresca taberna local. El bufé fue delicioso, ofreciendo una variedad de platos griegos tradicionales, cada uno mejor que el anterior. Para terminar nuestro día, nos deleitamos con un café tradicional griego, una verdadera joya. Finalmente, fuimos llevados a Sounio para disfrutar de una vista impresionante del atardecer. Fue el cierre perfecto para un día maravilloso. Debo mencionar a nuestra guía, Geryfalia. Su amabilidad y conocimiento del área realmente enriquecieron nuestra experiencia. Nos hizo sentir bienvenidos y se aseguró de que tuviéramos una experiencia memorable. - arigupa0 aportesEl templo de Poseidon y una de las mejores guías en AtenasEl lugar es espectacular, fuimos en el segundo día de nuestro viaje lo cual puso una vara muy alta para todo lo demás. El templo es hermoso y no hay mejor lugar en el que pueda estar. Esperas que en cualquier momento Poseidon pase a saludar. Gary nuestra guía excelente, ama Grecia y hace que tanto el recorrido de ida como de regreso sea muy ameno, me encanta que te hablen de mitología con entusiasmo y de historia al mismo tiempo, para mi serían 6 estrellas. Exceptuando la comida en el restaurante de arriba que no es muy buena pero es lo único qué hay, realmente mejor solo tomar un café y algo ligero. - Nacho H0 aportesMuy bonitoMe parece un atraco pagar 50 euros por ello...si te interesa la historia dep templo de poseidon te puedes informar e ir y volver en bus como hice yo por 14 euros...hay cada hora ..el trayecto es hora y media o asi pero vas viendo la costa esta muy bien. En el bus hay aire condicionado. Llegamos sobre las 6 tomamos algo ya que hay bar alli dimos un paseo por la zona y vimos la puesta de sol. Espectacular..... A las 9 es el ultimo bus....aunqe en realidad salio 9 y 10 o asi yo creo que por si habia algun despistado...el sol se puso a las 8.45.... las puestas puedes controlarlas x internet el horario...pero con el bus esta pensando para irse despues de que se ponga el sol...Escrita el 11 de agosto de 2018

Very well arranged excursion with a small group. They will pick you up at your stay and bring you back afterwards. Both during the ride and in Delphi itself they tell very passionately with fun anecdotes. Finishing with nice views lunched in new Delphi.

This was an excellent day trip. The long drive was worth it, not only for the destination (Delphi), but also for the experience of leaving the city of Athens and seeing more of the locality and countryside. Our driver, Pericles, was a very good driver and his Mercedes van (a 9 seater I believe) was comfortable. Pericles explained some of the sights and geography along the way and kept us apprised of when the next rest would be and how much longer we had to drive. He was eager to answer questions that we asked. When we arrived at Delphi, Georgia was there to greet us as our guide in the museum and as we walked the site. But first, the approach to Delphi was stunning on this remarkably warm and bright January day and Delphi literally sparkled on the side of the mountain and the spring growth on the hillside was the most verdant green. Georgia was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the history of the site and the very interesting people/gods who were instrumental in building Delphi and how a strong community continued there for centuries. So much history! I’ll admit this: it’s a lot more history that I can retain! A day trip like this is long but because we were staying in Athens for six days, we felt that it was well worth the time, effort, and cost. The experience exceeded our hopes, as did Pericles and Georgia as our hosts!

Our tour leader, Athena, was amazing. She was friendly, helpful and informative. When we arrived in Delphi, we had to have an authorized guide. Our guide spoke English, but it was heavily accented English. We had to listen very carefully, and even then we all said we understood about 1/2 of what he said. Even with all of that, it was an enjoyable and interesting day. Apparently the temple to Athena is closed due to rock falls from the mountain. That was a disappointment, but there was nothing our tour leader could do about it.

Great excursion! Our trip leader Iliana and driver Pericles were kind, very polite and conscientious, always making sure everyone was comfortable and well looked after. Delphi itself is stunning, with amazing views and fascinating history as explained by the site guide, George. Going in the winter has the benefit of nice temperatures and not many people. Worth it to book a small group tour that includes a guided tour of the site.

It was a very enjoyable day. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful throughout. The museum and the site, of course, are wonderful.
We would have benefited from slightly better communication on the front end. It would have been good to have known that the rest stop after the first hour would include an opportunity to buy breakfast. It would have been good to have known that there was a detour on the route that would add an hour each way and result in not making one of the stops on the original itinerary.
The rear seats of the van were not large enough for an adult male, which made for some awkward seat negotiation mid trip.
Lunch was one of the highlights. The local cuisine was different than what we had seen in Athens and delicious, with exceptional views.
Would certainly recommend this company as a solid option.

We greatly enjoyed our day trip. Highly recommend the small group as the mini-bus is comfortable and allows for better interactions with the guides. Our guides and drivers were wonderful. The views on the drive and at the Temple are stunning. Upon arrival our guide took us through the museum and then we moved on to the site. After we had a late lunch with the guides at a restaurant in Delphi. We tried things off the menu recommended by the guides and it was all delicious. You spend a lot of time traveling, but they ensured we had a stop halfway both times for the restroom. We were able to buy snacks and drinks at both rest stops as well. Overall we enjoyed getting out of the city for the day to see the history and beautiful natural landscapes. Highly recommend.

Teddy the guide was great. Friendly, interesting and smart. The museum guide George had two modes: silent and spouting off high level info at a rapid pace. He was quiet on the ride to and from the site, but once at the museum gave A LOT of info that was a little hard to follow but overall fascinating.
The site is a lot of uphill walking but many interesting areas.
We stopped for a group lunch which was good but I would have preferred the opportunity to have a lighter meal on my own.
All in all it was an excellent experience and I would recommend. Just do some homework on the history first.

The tour of Delphi was fantastic. Our guide at the site, M, was so knowledgeable. I can’t imagine seeing this site without a guide. She explained so much and made our time so much more enjoyable. Climbing to the top is a challenge, but very manageable. Our guide on the bus, Athena, and driver, Bill, were friendly and entertaining. Athena gave us lots of info about Athens and the gods. Making it even better for us, there were only two other people on the tour. And the weather was perfect.

I had a very nice time on the day trip from Athens to Delphi. Teddy, the tour chaperone, made the journey a fun experience for all aboard, engaging each person during the road trip without over-dominating the journey. Once we arrived at the Delphi Museum, George took over the tour with a microphone connected with receivers we were all given. The headphone was a terrible cheap single earpiece that would not fit into my ear and others soon followed taking theirs out, as we were a small enough group to hear him speak without the crummy earpiece. As animated and engaging as Teddy was, George was pretty much the opposite. While he has great knowledge of the area and its history, he was not at all engaging and fun. It was more of a series of short dry lectures. He kept his microphone on during the hike and I overheard some in our group talking about how they could hear his labored breathing as we climbed up the mountain. It was a beautiful day and we were not rushed at all. We had a wonderful late lunch after the tour at a local restaurant and then there was the VERY long drive home which seemed to take forever (the tour was forced to take an alternative route because of rockslides). Overall a nice experience, but be sure to bring water and a backup battery for your mobile.

I had a wonderful time on this tour! The driver and tour guide were both incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The guide shared fascinating stories about Greek mythology, history, and culture, making the experience even more enriching. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Delphi.

We are reviewing your tour for the two of us on Nov 23. We currently have not booked our hotel but would base that booking on where the pickup locations are for this tour. Will you please advise suggested locations. We had stayed at 9 Afroditis before and would love to stay there again but we know vehicles can not acces the area. Any ideas, please? Colleen

Hi! For hotels in the Pláka or Monasteraki area, the pick up is in one of the hotels on Sintagma square. We stayed in Astor Hotel, just one block away from the square.
