Regarding the price for the ferry, A return ticket (on the same day) for the fast ferry between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura cost 35 euro per person for NON-RESIDENTS of the Canary islands. The ticket price for RESIDENTS is aswell 35euro per person, with the exeption that residents of the Canary Islands receive a subvention from the goverment of the Canary Islands. The subvention is 75% of the retail price. ✔ What is the Canary Island Resident Discount? Residents of the Canary Islands who pay into the system(as well as the Balearic Islands and Ceuta) are eligible for a 75% discount on domestic travel between the Canary Islands and to mainland Spain. ✔ Who is Eligible for the Island Resident Discount? To take advantage of the domestic travel discounts, you must be registered as living in the Canary Islands via empadronamiento in the town hall. ✔ You must also be one of the following: a Spanish national an EU/EEA/ Swiss National a family member of an EU national a non-EU National holding a long-term residence permit And regarding the passport requirments: The Spanish law requires people to carry legal identification at all times (Passport or Photo ID). You need a valid passport or identity document for entry to and exit from Canary Islands. There is no minimum passport/document validity requirement but you should ensure that it is valid for the proposed period of your stay.
