Let me start with the follies and their location are stunning, this could be an outstanding attraction, however, the facilities are poor, to the point of dilapidated, i.e. take your own food and drink, and don't use the toilets! The toilets score minus 1.

The signage is poor around the site is poor, and contradicts the map, my suggestion to the staff is walk around the site as though you were a customer, through fresh eyes! The signs around the grounds are contradictory. One sign says exit 50 minutes, however, if you walk 1-2 minutes further on, there is a sign which says exit 30 minutes!

The caves, which obviously have power, have extremely poor directional signage inside, and reviews tell people to buy / take a torch, why should they need to.

There are no indicators anywhere around the site for blind people, i.e. there are no audible descriptions of the follies, or indications of which way to walk. In 2024!

A hidden gem,. Fantastic views and mystical caves. A real treat for children and adults. Walking shoes necessary.
Also a beautiful historic venue for visiting Father Christmas during December.,

We decided to visit Hawkstone Park Follies as it was fairly near where we were staying. We arrived just as they opened on day one of our holiday, 5 adults, 4 children aged 2-6, we walked the “little legs” walk and got to the first tower. The views were incredible, the rhododendrons were beautifully in bloom and we had nice weather. We only made it to the first tower though but walked back to the cafe for a coffee and snack. Then we met Howard. Well, as far as managers go, he’s got to be up there with the best! Not only did he check we’d had a lovely time but he went above and beyond to make our trip special! We now feel like we’re comparing each day on our holiday to this one! Thank you Howard for being so fantastic and an absolute credit to Hawstone Park Follies. We came here for a visit when we staying at Hawkstone Hall and Gardens Hotel and it was superb. The receptionist reccomended we do it and i'm so glad she did. Such a fun afternoon spent wandering around the old caves and cliffs. Staff were helpful from the little interaction we had, seemed amazing for kids although we didn't have any in our party. Very enjoyable afternoon.

Cannot believe I’ve lived in Shropshire so long without discovering this hidden gem.
Brilliant few mile walk through beautiful nature scenery.
See stunning 360 degree unseen views of Shropshire from climbing the spiral staircase in the monument. Not for the feint hearted.
Also a narrow rickety bridge also not for the feint-hearted.
Caves are amazing and not too small for claustrophobic people. Take a decent torch or head torch for the caves.

There’s lots of stairs to assist you climbing hills and some quite steep stone paths, so if you have a pushchair etc you might struggle.
But if your kids like a hill climb / walk and outdoor adventure, this is perfect!
There is a giant noughts and crosses game by the monument and a few other activities. A model dragon in a cage.
If you love the outdoors and nature. Do not
miss this!
Highly recommended!

Great experience. Something a bit different. We are both of 70 but really enjoyed the challenge of the varied walks and exploring the caves. Well worth a visit

Need to make sure you wear walking boots or good footwear, lots of walking, steps and narrow tricky paths. However it is an amazing place for a day out, lots interesting follies to explore and caves, tunnels, bridges.
