Service was spot on by Benjamin. They carry excellent Tequila and Mezcals. Some visitors enjoy a simpler sweeter less traditional Tequila and that is there also. Example Addictivo. If you are looking for additive free high-end Tequilas then Cascahuin, Don Fulano Fuenteseca is available. Prices are fair and you can taste before you buy.

My wife and I had two incredible experiences at Tequila Por Favor. We had the opportunity to do a tequila tasting one day and mezcal tasting the next. Benjamin is very thorough with his information. He not only provides you history but explains the different types of agave plants. While tasting, Benjamin provides the proper was to smell and taste the drink so you get the full flavor profile. Also, he explains the differences between tequila/mezcal in Mexico vs the United States. One of my favorite parts is they promote tequila/mezcal that are not made with additives.
We will definitely be back.

Benjamin did the Tequila for us and it was phenomenal. We learned so much about the characteristics and history of tequila and the agave plant. Highlight of our trip!

Tequila Por Favor is absolutely phenomenal! What a special spot. Great tequila and even better ownership.
I visited Zihuatanejo to learn about the history of the city + state of Guerrero and to document the culture. To obtain a baseline knowledge of tequila for future documentary trips to places like Jalisco and Guadalajara was also on my list.
Benjamin provided that and more.
Benjamin knows everything there is to know about tequila and he has connections all over the country that allow him to source the best (and most unique!!) stuff on the market. His collection is so pretty and if you ask him to try a bit you’ll also find that it is very delicious.
I 10000% recommend a tasting with him. It’s about 1.5 hours long and you’ll walk away with great info on the history of tequila as well as a new found appreciation for how it tastes. He provided some techniques that have really allowed me to open my palette recently and it’s made drinking fine alcohol all the more enjoyable.
Benjamin is an awesome dude and anyone who has the opportunity to visit his spot should do so!!

Wow! It was incredible!
I don’t generally like tequilas, however deep knowledge of Benjamine ( sorry if i spell the name wrong) just opened my eyes on this world of flavour.
Incredible personal tasting. Highly customisable and very informative.
Definitely so far the biggest highlight of my trip!

Benjamin steered us in the right direction. We found a couple tequilas based on what we liked, tasted them and sure enough they were exactly what we wanted. Did I mention they have cigars! They also have a great selection of cigars and once again Benjamin set me up with the perfect one. I am always looking for tequila shirts when I'm in Mexico and they have that as well. Definitely going back because we already drank one and need another.

My husband and I knew very little about tequila before our hour long personal lesson with Benjamin. He explained HOW you drink it, it's origin, and no, that does not mean as a quick shot with salt and a lime wedge! With all the tastings, and the lesson, it cost somewhere about $400 MP or 20 USD pp, but it was well worth it! I think we sampled 10 different tequilas! There are so many craft tequilas in this shop, you will not find Patron or Don Julio here.

We went in to learn more about the local tequilas and differences. He took the time to walk us through the differences in how they are made, tasting our way to the perfect ones to take home. Highly recommend this stop!
