Smokey, extremely hot and felt like no air conditioning inside. Hard to fin main entrance and having to out $ on a card to use in machines was stupid
We just wanted to see what it was all about but we would never go back.
Felt dirty when we left between all the sweat and smoke.. just yuck!
Strong pass

The Red Casino is an ok casino. We booked the Oasis resort based on them having the casino on property. Having been to the DR quite a bit, we had medium expectations for it. They have plenty of slots and a couple roulette tables, a craps table, BJ and poker tables. Not all were open, but it want busy either. We had a good time.
Now for the negative. It might be a Mexico thing, but the casino taxes you 10% on all buy ins and then 7% when you cash out. They do let you know upfront and you have to sign paperwork attesting to that. It just sucks, but at least they are up front about it. They say it is a tax so maybe that’s how the government ensures they get their cut??

A little confusing. You need to see the cashier and add money to a card, you can't just add cash in the machine like you can in the Caribbean and US. Try to ask for a matching coupon (you pay $100 pesos and they give you $100 pesos in free slot play that you can spend but can't cash out). I got mine when they were handing them out by the pool one day.
All of the machines are in Spanish, only a couple had a button to ask for English. It was kind of fun to not know what I was doing ha ha. I played the cheap slots for about an hour and a half and I broke even so I consider that a very good night.

Fun place poor service
Could be a vegas casino with better management
They think there buisness is money changing
The rio. Ystoners on exchange rate
Last night I was prepared to change 2000 $ US. TO Mexican Oesos until I saw the rate
The steal 20%. On exchange rate .
So you are losing g before to start .
Otherwise nice place

This casino has hacked their slot machines to not payout any kind of jackpot over $100. I’ve been here 3 days, played a total of $1,400 USD and never hit a jackpot over the equivalent of $100 usd. Coincidence??? After a loss of $1,400 usd and not getting one jackpot over $100, I think not. I’ve unfortunately verified this at my own expense. I wish someone would have told me about this before, but if I can save someone else the nightmare, well then please heed my advice and stay far, far away! Absolutely ridiculous!

I might have just had a bad night, but I lost on a suspiciously high number of good hands in blackjack, compared to most of my recent experiences in Vegas. I had similarly (and unusually) bad luck on the only video poker machine I could find. The beer selection sucks, the cocktails are miniscule, and the service is horrible. I would advise against wasting your time and money here.

今まで行ったカジノの中で1番残念な感じ。
華々しさもなく、人気もなく、凄く狭い所なので物足りなさがある。行くならダウンタウンまで出た方が無難かと………

It’s hard to know where to begin with a review of this “independent casino” within the Pyramid at the Oasis resort.
Firstly, since it’s not included as a part of the resort, you don’t get any drinks free of charge - other than soft drinks. You find yourself stepping outside to get your free drinks from another resort bar. Petty.
Secondly, you can only withdraw a maximum of 5000 pesos on your credit card (plus the 3% service charge)! How many other casinos limit the amount you want to gamble? Hahaha.
Thirdly, the dealers on the Ultimate Holdem table were clueless - and I’m being generous. There were countless occasions where they failed to see the winning hands, and had to be called out to payout correctly. Yes, there were a lot of new dealers, but none of them appeared to be paying sufficient attention to learn from previous mistakes.
Fourth, we chose this resort because of the casino for our late night entertainment, and we are poker players - which is advertised on their listing. You’d therefore think that they might help get a game started by setting up a dealer with a rack of chips at the table.... but no, it had to be the customers to talk amongst themselves and sit at the table to get a game going. The one night we managed to do this, the game went on until 4am and must’ve made the house more than most of the other games on the premises.
Finally, and probably worst of all, the staff chose to be aggressive rather than helpful when a customer inadvertently stepped over an “invisible boundary” (into an area too close to the chips, for example). Whilst looking around in the late morning, we spotted that there were a couple of high-rollers playing the craps table. I was curious about the chip denominations, as I hadn’t seen a chip bigger than 1000 pesos (about £40 or $50), so I wandered over to where the chips were stacked to see if there was anything bigger. There was no barrier there, so when I had a female supervisor in my face and on the verge of physically pushing me back, I was rather take aback. I suggested that she needn’t be so aggressive, but the response was just a death stare.
Seriously, if you want to have some easy-going fun gambling in a casino in Cancun, don’t come here.

We read about a new casino in the hotel zone and went to try it out. They have slot machines and gaming tables ; We played the slots and found a version of one of our favorite machines. It was about 6 pm and the casino was not busy. To gamble, you have to get a players card by buying one at the cashier window. The staff noticed it was my husband’s ;birthday and they shortly came over to us with a delicious piece of cake and a little birthday gift, witch we really appreciated. We also purchased a beer for $2.and they have a full bar. The casino is very nice and has a lot of staff.
