This is the highlight of a visit to Medicine Hat Alberta: The huge teepee a block from the visitors center .

An excellent local cultural monument. Not hard to find. It's visible from highway 1, and is just a few yards down the road from the visitors center. The people at the visitors center are fun and helpful. I was looking for antique, vintage, and second hand shops. They pointed me in the right direction. Medicine Hat, the town, was interesting too.
The teepee is obviously large, and has artistic displays attached to it around the lower perimeter. There are also info boards explaining who made it.

A worthwhile visit to learn about several indigenous tribes and view tribal art explaining their tribal stories. Although seen from the main highway into the city, the entrance is a little hard to find in your own (use your GPS.)

It's a fun, quick stop to visit! Great for getting some pictures! Once there you can read some information about the native american, which was pretty interesting. when I was there, off to the side was a rock snake that people could paint rocks to add to the snake, which I thought was a fun idea. Also, just before the Tippi, there's the information center. They have some cool things to buy, and the ladys working there were extremely nice, informative, and fun to talk to!

Had researched this whilst planning our trip to Canada, looked interesting and we were not disappointed. As we drove through Medicine Hat we could see the Teepee from a distance, turn off well marked. Narrow road to get to site but once there plenty of parking. Teepee is situated on top of hill overlooking City, it was a clear day so good views all around. Good selection of information boards referring to the different panels of the Teepee telling history of Indians in the area. Goos place to walk around and there are plenty of seats, worth spending up to an hour

A product of the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, the Saamis Tepee found its way to Medicine Hat. It is readily visible if traveling eastbound on the Trans Canada Highway through the city. I stopped for a closer look. It was disappointing more of an effort has not bee made to provide more fulsome descriptions of varied aspects of indigenous culture.

You can read about the cultural history of various Indigenous tribes in the area. Its great for photo ops, taking a break, letting the dog out and taking time for a picnic. Lots of parking. It is a landmark feature of Medicine Hat AB. You can also Ingress here.

It’s beautiful to visit when it’s dark. Very informative about the First Nations people. But there are sketchy cars around. Needs lighting around the parking area.
