We, a Swiss family of 3 persons, enjoyed a private safari in Kenya and Tanzania organized by Sierra Safaris in July and August 2023. According to our experience, we can warmly recommend Sierra Safaris to future customers.
We asked for an entirely private safari meeting our precise expectations about the style, the pace, the atmosphere and the comfort level of it. Sierra Safari proposed an attractive itinerary including many interesting spots to visit and respecting our wish not to hurry through everything. They were very responsive answering all our questions and thoughtfully adapting the itinerary to some amendments we proposed.
Our safari happened exactly as planned without any mishaps. The lodges and camps re-served by Sierra Safaris proved to have been carefully chosen, corresponded to the de-scription and were all of good quality. The guides chosen in both countries were highly professional, courteous, punctual, safe drivers and extremely knowledgeable about nature, wildlife, cultural, historic, social and economic aspects of their country. We really felt in good and safe hands during the entire safari and had a very pleasant time in their company. The safari vehicles were in good condition und we experienced no breakdowns.
The price-value ratio was quite attractive and we felt like getting value for money.

Sierra Safaris ran by Nancy planned our safari trip in Maasai Mara and it was perfect and reasonably priced, compared to big companies. I highly recommend Nancy. I enjoyed personal communications with her from New York City. She was very patient as I kept changing my mind and itineraries.
She picked us from Wilson airport when we returned. She also did her best to get us last minute booking for Sheldrick elephant orphanage.

In addition to the gorgeous view of Kilimanjaro, you will find a huge number of Elephants, antelopes, buffalos, birds, including ostriches. Spotted hyenas roam here. And finally, we saw lions, namely lions, and not lionesses whom we already met in huge numbers in Masai Mara.

I would highly recommend using Sierra Safaris to plan your next adventure/getaway. I would especially like to give a shout out and a big thank you to Nancy.
After corresponding with quite a few tour providers, Sierra offered the best value and most importantly clear and precise information through numerous emails. Nancy replied quickly to any doubts and provided excellent insight for the trip. The planning was great and even took the time to come and meet me before i left Kenya!

The Aberdare Ark Hotel provides a habitat for elephant ,spotted Hyenas Olive Baboons , warthogs waterbucks among others.The Hotel is awesome is constructed in a shape of an Ark(llke Noah Ark) with all rooms like cabins on a ship. The hotel has a series of balconies overlook a mineral deposit which attracts elephants,buffalo and salt lick. We went for 3nights over the Easter Holiday one night at the Ark Lounge.very friendly,and Good food provides free WIFI in your rooms

Giraffe Ark Game Lodge, Offers beautiful, Spacious well furnished independent family rooms/ cottages, In a quite serene environment, Very friendly staff, Good food, enough Children fun activities. Please remember to Pack your Swimming costume.
