Awesome service — really friendly and informative. We were new to SUP but he explained it all and made it seem easy — which it was. Best thing we did in San Sebastián! Wish we came here earlier.

We were a group of friends staying in San Sebastian in May ‘24 and rented paddle boards from Darwin Puntos for a few hours. Yens is a really lovely guy, who was super helpful getting us set-up for water sports - as well as really helpful with tips of places to visit/eat. Highly, highly recommend and the bay is absolutely stunning and best way to see the city by water! Go for it! :-)

Darwin Rentals is the place to go to get your gear for water sports in the beautiful bay overlooking La Concha beach in Donostia, or San Sebastián. My wife, niece and I rented two paddle boars and a kayak on a sun-splashed August morning and paddled to Santa Clara Island, which overlooks the sailboats moored amid clear blue waters. Located in a corner of Port of Donostia, the shop is a short walk to a boat ramp where we launched our boards and kayak. This is a great spot to depart because it’s protected by the walled port and the water is calm as you head out into the bay, where there is more water movement due to swell, wind and boat wakes. The owner of Darwin Rentals is Jens, a nice guy who is Basque but was raised in the United States. He explained everything to us and even gave us a 15-minute grace period at the start to allow us time to walk to the ramp and headed off for our adventure. The shop also rents bikes and scooters to cruise the streets of Donostia. We look forward to another paddle adventure next time we visit.
