Spotted a poster advertising the church in the town centre and walked up past the delightful old almhouses. The church has been greatly adapted for the 21st century and this modern approach included an exhibition of photographs and an area set aside as a kitchen and tables for 'diners'. They have a CofE donations set up where you pay by card and receive a thanks by email.

The thirteenth Church and Churchyard is always worth a visit if in the area both for religious and historical interest. It is situated at the top of the town overlooking the river valley below. There is a guide for visitors available and there are small information plaques inside but some are actually obscured by more recent temporary notices.

The historic church was welcoming , open daily , inviting and accepted contactless donations . Plus virtual candle Qr code . Plenty literature explains history services and contact details of vicar and staff

Me and my wife were pleasantly surprised to find the church open. It was certainly worth the visit and we both felt at peace afterwards. It is an icon of the local area and a parish church too. Very happy to make a donation as the church needs to maintain the ongoing upkeep.

I thought the church was lovely. Lovely carved screens, stain glass windows and floor tiles. I actually liked the cafe (closed) and toys stored for play group, which shows it has an active community and isn't a museum for tourists! I was there alone, and it was very peaceful. Rather surprised to find a couple of dog owners walking their dogs in the graveyard.

This church has a lovely welcoming vibe. It has beautiful stained glass, carvings and a fun hunt you can do, where you try to spot all the hedgehogs around the building (in carvings, ect) Although I am not a religious person I felt very comfortable having a little sit and think about things while there.
