This change initiative is just a building that promotes and fosters green eating and healthy living, they talk about the benefits of solar and such.
More like a science center but nothing sciencey to be deemed worthy of your precious vacation time.

I went here because I had heard of this place on Instagram !
So I had no big expectations
FOOD
Yummmmm we had a rib eye with mushroom and greens and potatoes that were heavenly
And
A pizza which was 80%water and 20% wheat ... So a healthier kind of pizza fluffy yet crunchy crust !just amazing
Service :that was the downside is rate the service 1/5 no one gave us the menu so I went up to the counter to get one . Then the waiter told me to sit and he got me the menus . He was nowhere to be found when we wanted to order !so I went up to the counter and ordered
Shop : so many excited things
From food to superfood to house and kitchen wear to natural cosmetics I name it
I would have given this place 5stars but it got 4 because of the service

You would expect from the name and the products on display that the store would be extra careful with their cooking. I had a Kale Tabouleh which was extremely salty which ruined the taste. (I suggest to change the name of the salad).
Service is average. Very noisy.
Not recommended for lunch, maybe early morning for coffee and pastry or cake.

Terrible experience with customer service, ordered breakfast, served something different from what I ordered, refused to fix it, telling me we will be wasting 2 eggs for this!!! Very cheap and not customer service oriented!!!

i went there with the view that I might see some innovative way of recycling or alikes by reading the reviews of the place but I have to say that this place is just like other shop, they just sells the recycle product like pencil darters , cloth of jute etc. however there is a product called Bokashi as I m pronounce it, they are showing that product like there is nothing like it but it's so common product. Half of the showroom Is with recycle product and half with general daily shopping stuffs like chips, oils etc.
One more reason for not going there's:-
IITs just far from my possible local transport and even not nearby any attraction points of Dubai, hence it cost time and money both separately to go to this place, it is just in between of two metro station that makes its a too much walking or easily a 12 aed taxi.

went for breakfast, quiet, menu a little limited for breakfast. Staff not great communication and have to attract them to get service. Good was tasty and served in a timely fashion. Would recommend it also for lunch food is fresh tasty and healthy great coffee ask for the big cup!

This is a pleasant café with a diverse menu. We had a pizza and wrap. They were quite average but some of the other food looked more interesting. I think it is worthwhile popping in for a coffee or bite to eat if convenient but not worth going out of your way. The café is in an interesting store which sells a variety of sustainable goods from children’s clothes to cookware.

Met friends here for an afternoon cup of tea, it was only 3.30pm and carrot juice, masala iced tea, and chamomile and citrus iced tea were not available. We were surprised and felt if anything was unavailable we should have been told when we were given the menus not when we were trying to order. Made us wonder what else wasn't available. They had ran out we were told as we tried to order the drinks. However I really enjoyed my chamomile tea.
The tables were basic and I didn't find the chairs that comfortable, I found I kept slipping down.
The pistachio and raspberry muffin was delicious...tangy and moist.
We also wandered round the shop, some nice looking clothes, kitchen goods, laundry liquids, foods and solar powered goods were available for sale. Everything felt spacious and open and it was easy to view and shop. An interesting experience and one I would repeat!
The tables were basic and I didn't find the chairs that comfortable, I found I kept slipping down.
The pistachio and raspberry muffin was delicious...tangy and moist.
We also wandered round the shop, some nice looking clothes, kitchen goods, laundry liquids, foods and solar powered goods were available for sale. Everything felt spacious and open and it was easy to view and shop. An interesting experience and one I would repeat!

The Change initiative is the first of its kind sustainable shopping centre / supermarket. Offering only environmentally friendly and sustainable products. LEED platinum certified as the world’s most sustainable commercial building with a record 107 points out of 110.
This is located near the Ibis hotel and Sharaf DG metro station on the front of Barsha next to Sheikh Zayed road and not too far from Mall of the Emirates. A nice place to visit as it is not too crowded with ample parking at the back if the front is full. The café (named the Taste Initiative) is worth stopping by for a coffee and bite to eat with a fantastic menu. Fresh bread is baked onsite to take home. A Children’s area is also available and upstairs there are meeting rooms that can be hired. Recycling centres and many more interesting ideas to explore and learn about. Friendly and helpful staff.
The store itself uses solar panels, a system which reuses water, a reflective paint which apparently means Air conditioning is used less and a number of other ideas.
For the eco conscious, it is well worth a visit.
