Such a blessed place to visit. Knowledgeable curator, well explained every single items. Free of charged. Emotionally took us to old memory lane. Thank you.

This experience was much out of my expectations and was one of my best souvenirs from Penang! As a foreigner interested in Indian culture, I visited Indian Heritage Museum Penang and I am very blessed that I did not pass this one. Mr Jakathesan and Mrs Mutiah shared their collections generously and with great passion. And I was very surprised and touched that this experience was no admission because they want the culture to reach a larger audience. I learned so much from this experience and i will memorize this souvenir forever. Thank you!!!

A quick time travel to the era of pre independence of Malaya focusing on the arrival of Indians from Tamil origin. This place holds the evidence of Malaysian Indians culture, economy, politics, art, and livelihood from pre independence till today.

We are from Valley International School, covers CBSE and CAIE syllabus located at Kuala Lumpur. On Sunday we with a group of 22 students from various states, including Salem, Chennai, Andra Pradesh, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Tirchi ,Telangana, Hyderabad and some from Malaysia visited this museum. The experience was delightful as we met the amiable owner, enjoyed the well-maintained environment and received detailed explanation for each exhibit. This museum is highly recommended for school students. Thank you!

As volunteer teachers of an underprivileged and minority
organisation, our group went to this place with the conciousization and enlightenment of our founder, who sacrificed his whole life for the labours. Though personally I've visited Penang quite a few times, I never knew such a place exists. When we went there, we saw some introduction of the means of migration of Indian labours to Malaya, as what we've learnt from our Founder. This place supports the facts with very beautiful collection of artefacts. The then used objects of the Indian minority were all displayed there. Sad that now not many are giving importance to know or learn the Indian history.
There's a small suggestion that it would be really more meaningful if they can include some memories about rubber plantations as well. It would be perfect then.
We were really happy that there's some souls who have taken initiative to preserve these things without any commercialisation, in a world of capitalism, in spite of partnership offerings for commercialisation.
Thanks to the owners Mr Prakash and Ms Punitha for having some sense of social responsibility. May God bless these souls for their contribution to the society. 🙏🏼❤️

The Penang Indian Heritage Museum is more than just a museum; it's an experience. It's a place to connect with the soul of Penang, celebrate diversity, and discover the enduring legacy of a community that has enriched the island in countless ways.
