My husband and i visited Green Antiques on 4th January 2014. We found 3 large decorative pots which i had been looking for many months. I was delighted to find just the ones i had been looking for. They were very expensive however, as they were just what I had been searching for, I paid for them on my credit card. it was a large amount which also included the cost of the shipping to Hong Kong where I live. I was happy for the shipment to be sent after Chinese New year (which was the end of January) as both parties agreed that this would work better for them. It is now 22nd May and in spite of several phone calls to the curator, Jason and multiple promises that I would be sent an email telling me when my delivery would arrive, I have not received any emails from him or any pots. I now cannot event get hold of Jason on the phone. I have spent a lot of money with Green Antiques and have no goods. I have never encountered such terrible customer service as this in the 26 years that I have lived in Hong Kong. I have no idea whether i will receive my goods or not.

The beautiful antique doors, stunning windows, colorful statues, exquisite furniture, and incredibly detailed carvings and architectural pieces at Green Antiques are simply fabulous. Stepping into their shop, I felt like i was walking back in time - into the days of emperors and kingdoms, with room after room of visually stunning displays of the spectacular hand-crafted special and unique items which once let visitors immediately appreciate the imperial, economic, educational, society and religious status of their former owners in days of old.
Green Antiques is the kind of shop that interior designers like me spend a lifetime searching for. I'm told that the owners have been collecting for over 3 decades and only last year opened the collection to the public. They confirmed what I had heard before - and experienced in the China market myself - that in recent years it has become much harder to find interesting antique and architectural pieces. Given that their prices don't exceed what I would normally expect to pay for similar new good quality furniture - my guess is that once it is gone, it is gone forever, so I am hurrying back soon to get first dibs on some of the unique pieces at Green Antiques - one of the last great antiques collections in China!
As advertised, the Green Antiques showroom really is quite close to the Puxi Outlet Mall and JSWB Furniture Outlet Mall - same exit from G50 as Sheshan, but turn right off the highway instead of left. Pretty close to the Puxi American School, the Shanghai Racquet Club and all of the villa communities around there. It is a pretty long haul from Pudong, but certainly worth the time and effort, particularly if you are an architect or interior designer, if you are renovating your home or preparing your container load to return home, or if you just want to take your family / firends to see an amazing Chinese antiques collection.
I am glad I discovered this fascinating shop!

I'm living in China (Hangzhou) for a temporary work assignment. I travel to Shanghai on occasion during the weekends. Each time I come I try to do/see something **culturally** different. When traveling to new places, I'm always curious to visit the local antique market: it tells you a lot about the locals and what they value. In the three months I've been in China I had yet to find genuine antiques...that changed when I visited Green Antiques!! WOW, indeed. Jason's friend and colleague Marcus gave me the tour; he was so friendly and knowledgeable. This place is as impressive as everyone has said and more. My husband comes to visit next week and I can't wait to bring him here...it's like stepping into history, but also getting to own a piece of it. Really looking forward to going back and exploring more. It's worth your time and MORE to travel to GA.

这次跟着导游来了上海的阁棂古董，里面有许多的家具都非常喜欢。这是来上海最值得地方，我买了些盒子和一些提篮，回家后它可以放在家里的各个角落，好多朋友都说很好看，这真是太棒了！我非常喜欢你们的家具和服务态度，还会再次光临的！

好大好壮观的展厅，逛一遍得一个多小时，谢谢店长的讲解，满满的中国艺术，古代的床实在是太棒了价格完全可以接受，这么实惠的价格买到中国古代的艺术是在是太赞了，yeah！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！

We've recently relocated to Shanghai and have been looking for a few key pieces to finish our home...and wow, were we ever surprised to find not only an amazing selection of gorgeous cabinets and tables, but some truly stunning finds at very reasonable prices. The shoppe is massive and Jason is incredibly knowledgeable about each and every piece. I learned more in 2 hours about the history of the provinces than I have in the last four years. Absolutely worth the visit even if you're not looking to purchase.

Waht an amazing experience! If in Shanghai this is a MUST VISIT to see a major portion of Chinese history. I could have spent days in the place which has museum quality pieces of all shapes and sizes. It is hard for me to believe that another palce like this exists. THIS WAS A MIND BLOWER AND WORTH THE TRIP AND TIME.

I spent the better part of 2 hours wandering around the shop floor and only scratched the surface of the items on display. The staff are very courteous and full of knowledge of Chinese antiquity and the origin of the pieces. The quality is remarkable. Amazing deals to be had, whether you are a professional curator, a collector of Chinese memorabilia, or just someone who wants a visual education on China's recent and distant past. The extent of the collection is almost overwhelming, but the careful displays make it all very manageable.

Much better selection of high quality carvings and furniture than Hong Kong's Hollywood Road. A bit weak on porcelain vases and other porcelain objects. No coins or other little knickknacks.

This place is worth a trip whether you live in China or are only visiting. There is every concievable type of Chinese antique available. The staff are very knowledgable and provide details and sometimes stories around the origin of the artifact. Be sure to block out at least half a day to view every floor. This is a museum of Chinese antiques which you can also buy and take home!

Is the store just furniture or is it antique jewelry or art work?

We have a tremendous selection of Ming and Qing Dynasty works of art, including paintings, statues, carvings and much more! Also lots of baskets, boxes and other wonderful art pieces. Not much antique jewelry though. We hope that you will stop by - you won't be disappointed!
