The show was phenomenal. Bruce Hall was out for back surgery so the bass player from Elton John stood in for him. The volume level of the drums was thumping over the bands vocals the first few minutes. Cronin's vocals were strong and he seemed like he had a cool exterior but incredible smart, complex, and contrasting interior. The long, white coat he wore in the beginning looked ugly. Even though the stage was turning, while most musicians remained mostly in place, Kevin would dart around the stage to avoid a certain group of handsy females.

The unannounced opening was Chris Trapper. He was very funny and entertaining. Danny should of put it on the ticket information before the tickets were sold. He was jazzed up in a new 70s looking shirt which was a nice change from his t shirt blue jean look.

Staff friendly; venue size great. Parking not so good - small spots so many vehicles took 2-3 spots then there weren’t enough spots for everyone attending.

We recently had our first opportunity to visit Celebrity Theatre for the Incredible Kingfish opener, and the Fabulous Bluesman, the Great Buddy Guy concert. This dated yet incredible music and performing arts venue is distinguished in one particular way, to its in-the-round set-up where you’ll see 360 degrees of the performance, and each seat will have a perfect view of the performers on stage. Although, if inebriated, a performer can have a bit of a problem keeping his balance. For the concertgoer though, the view is wonderful and very close as the stage is not that far from most seating. However, there is an exception, a very important one I might add. Somehow, to a point understandable, if you’re seated in the first or second row of B Section, you will not get full view of the performance as movable seating and wheelchairs are placed by the rails between sections A and B and are in direct line of sight! Other than that, this is a relatively comfortable, lively, 2k person venue, with easy to access in and out, and an enormous parking area. Look forward to returning for other performances but will insure not getting the same seats again.

Chicago brought the house down. Amazing show, seats, parking left to be desired as lot was full when we arrived. Took our chances, parked on street and lucked out. Fabulous night.

Went to show August 18 at 10 minutes before showtime.

Had purchased parking but was turned away as they said lot was full.

Bad neighborhood and no parking on street so missed the show.

No-one would answer phone or emails.

Did not offer a refund.

Avoid this venue!!

Wasted money and evening!

My wife and I saw Graham Nash at the Celebrity Theater. Graham was excellent, the theater was awful. I can honestly say there wasn't anything about the theater we liked, and will never go back for any concert there.

Upon entering the venue, they checked your ticket but nobody led any of the guests to where their seats were. We saw many people trying to figure out where their seats were because of lack of signage.

Inside it was EXTREMELY cold. Since I had a sweatshirt in my car, I tried to go back and get it. They wouldn't let me, even with a ticket and going through security again, they said "no reentry". Whaaaaat! Others were complaining how cold it was also. Another review said the seats were insanely small and they were right. Also, the arms on many of the chairs were broken.

If you would like a very unpleasant experience, go to the Celebrity Theater. It is the worst place we've ever seen a concert anywhere in the United States. We will never go there again.

I get it u are a small OLD theatre trying to hang on..but...stop frisking people at door..to sell 10 dollar bags...seats are insane small my husband is 6'3 he is in so much pain..knees hit seat and has to sit sideways or stand..drinks 18 dollars..I have said it before but I will never come here again. Every time I come I'm pissed off. I hope the artists start realizing this place is a dive. It's easier to get into every other venue in phoenix

Excellent, vibrant 2 hour show w 20 min intermission. JY seemed to be in deep grief although it was nice to see the occasional smile to his band members or when the crowd was singing and getting active.

Tommy Shaw was so humble, interacted with the crowd throwing out Styx guitar picks and went down on his knee twice to allow a young boy in the front row play his guitar.

The venue is very quaint and intimate. Parking was $10 cash and police were hired for quick exit after the concert. Shirts in the bar area were $35-45 and a signed guitar was up for charity.

There was a new band young member who seamed he had been with the band for awhile. He was quite attractive and muscular.

Styx was on the bucket list and they are one the best I have ever been to. They are a very hard working, professional band. I would pay to attend another show. Thank you Styx for coming to Phoenix.

First things first, I'm a 62 year-old male, visiting from Boston, MA, solely for this event.

I found The Celebrity Theatre to be an intimate setting and appropriate for the program presented, and the rotating stage augmented that fully. Being a first-timer, I was a little confused about the (seating) section numbering as the signage as to what sections were in which direction (when coming through the main doors was missing or poorly placed; I traversed 3/4 around in the wrong direction before finding my section - it's no big deal as it's a small venue, but still.

I'm not sure if it was the venue's fault or the production's fault, but the swag table(s) in the concession area were terribly managed. Whether one wanted to purchase an item, just pass through that part of the venue to another, or try to get to a restroom, it was an absolute cluster-eff. That needed to be handled better - not sure how it is/was for other events there.

You can feel the age of the place, but to me, that's part of it's charm.

We saw David Spade here and while we enjoyed the show immensely, the venue made it difficult to do so. Show was to start at 8pm and they couldn’t start until 8:20 after telling us it was taking longer to get the cars in and parked. This could be because they charge $10 to park in the lot so it takes time to collect from every car. Once the show started, there were people still streaming in and making noise and having to have people get up so they could get to their seats. We were in the row after the separation of the walkway and it was like being at a ballpark where you expect people to be walking back and forth in the walkways. But this was crazy. People crossing nonstop going to bar, bathroom, just milling around. So distracting! Even David commented twice that this was a very fidgety audience. Not sure if this is the norm due to where the bars are located but hard to stay connected to the show.
