Great little 30 minute or so hike. The rocky trail may be a little hard on the footing if you have any foot problems but otherwise an easy hike. You can hear the waves in the distance as you walk. We had a little picnic on the beach.

We visited the park while on vacation and hiked the trails. It is a beautiful park with wonderful scenery. The hike took us 2:15 minutes and covered about 5 miles. There are places to sit and look out throughout the trail and even a small beach area. It is a National park so you can encounter wildlife. There are bears in the park as well as deer and other assorted wildlife. We saw bear tracks but did not see a bear. Also the insects are bad so bring bug spray. We met a few people on the trails but it was fairly secluded so you could really enjoy the peace and quiet. There are bathrooms there and a small picnic area but other than that do not expect any services. Great hike and great scenery. A must do on the south shore.

after enduring a half an hour easy walk in hot and humid climate, in the presence of silent bugs (use a bug spray), there reward is probably the most spectacular beach in Nova Scotia if not the entire northern hemisphere in America. The only drawback is the the water is frigid and you can jump in for microseconds

We ended up doing the shorter Harbour Rock trail as the Port Joli Head trail loop was closed for repairs.
It was an easy hike down to the seaside on a cloudy but humid day. This part of the park features glacier carved headstones, rocky beaches and coves and turquoise waters. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any seals but thoroughly enjoyed this isolated stretch of coastline. We only encountered 3 other people.

Recently did this hike. This was our second time here. Very nice trail that leads to the water. Trail is well maintained and clean. Highly recommended!

We visited the Seaside park in September. The trail starts from the parking lot. It cuts through dense vegetation until you reach the cove. The trail is dirt or boardwalk until you reach the shore. If you have the time, energy and ability, continue on the Harbour Rocks trail to another cove at the end. Some of the trail in this section requires walking on stones and there is a short, steep climb in one area. Both areas offer pristine coastline without a trace of commercial or recreational activity. Beautiful and peaceful views where you can observe sea birds and seals. Be prepared for mosquitoes while walking through the vegetation. There are flush toilets at the parking lot. The bathrooms were very clean. There are outhouse toilets at the first cove.

I have been here twice once in October 2018 and May 2019. Have seen seals both times. Hiked along the great sandy beach in October well worth the time. It was closed for bird nesting in May. Still the hike to the shore is worth the time.

wo kann ich mit dem Wohnmobil zentral zum strand übernachten?
For reference later May I ask those who have taken the shorter hike towards the beach, how long is the trail? Is it paved? I will be taking our 2 yr old twins so, just wandering if it is possible to hike...

I don't know...I'd find a website for the park and/or a contact email and ask them directly.
