This visitor center for the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area is easy to get to off US-68. They have a good size parking lot, restrooms, vending machines, a small gift shop, and a planetarium (we did not have time to see the planetarium). We spent a worthwhile 15 minutes exploring the room full of interesting exhibits about the history of the area and how the federal government acquired the land and the impact that had on the local residents. It is only a mile from here to the Elk & Bison Prairie which is worth a visit as well.

The vistor center is great! There is a little room with information about the area and the people that lived here. This is also were the planetarium is! We didn't have time to watch it but it looked cool! There is a small gift shop inside as well. The staff were kind and helpful and gave us some good tips on a few trails that were more our speed! Make sure you stop here first before heading out to the trails!

Gift shop was overpriced and not worth the long walk from the parking lot. Didn’t see anything ‘golden’ about this stop.

We stopped in briefly. The staff at the desk was extremely kind and helpful. However, the building looks old and outdated, in need of a makeover/ renovation. This park in general has potential to be awesome. It just needs a little boost. Please sned them some funds so that this park can be all that it can be!

If you've never seen old buildings, tools or a garden growing, then you need to bring your family here. Easy to get around for most any age. They have several different animals that you'd expect to see on the farm. Stop by for a blast from the past.

Very helpful staff to get around Land Between the Lakes. Very nice center and easy trails to walk around. Hope to make a return visit.

We stopped here for the planetarium show, and my kids enjoyed it. It is not a pre-programmed show, but let by an interpreter on site. The kids did enjoy the laser show that was part of it.

We went hoping to gain info on the Turkey Bay off road vehicle area. What we learned talking to John was so much more. We had no idea how much was available in The Land Between the Lakes. This visitor center has tons of information available for any interest. Visit it!

Questo Visitor Center, ben situato nell'ambiente circostante, offre la possibilità di ottenere numerose informazioni sul Parco, grazie alla gentilezza ed alla professionalità del personale ed anche ai supporti video che vi si trovano. Qui è anche possibile acquistare il pass per la Elk & Bison Prairie

Not at the visitor’s center, but there is ample fishing all up and down the lakes.
