Very enjoyable walk around the park. Our pooch loved the river. Surprising that we didn't hear any birds in the way round though. Other than that it was brilliant and we finished off at the cafe with lovely toasted sandwiches and a perfect cuppa!
Definitely recommended for a leisurely few hours.

Lovely clean well signed walk. Really lovely walk beside clear flowing river. Good parking (pay and display reasonable). Will definitely return here.

I've been to llay side before but the gwersylt side was much better, my dog loved it there he had a splash in the very clean water the park was very clean and the local people were really friendly, the car park wasn't overly busy I got there around 10.30 am will be going again soon 👍

Lovely country park with woodland walks and many paths, some hardstanding and flat for easy access and others for cycling.

Absolutely terrible visit to cafe yesterday.
Not sure what was happening, but think they need to change the filters or get a better ventilation system in place, as between placing order and it arriving the place started to smell of grease and smoke. I had to leave, dragged out by the dog who is petrified of smoke.
But Thought no problem as can go outside as nice day, but when took order out, both coffees were terrible. My husbands black americano had obviously had a splash of milk put in, probably before someone remembered it was meant to be black, and rather than make a fresh one, put the lid on and gave it us anyway. My flat white had a funny black ring around the top of the cup.
The piece of bara brith was the end piece, which besides being rock hard and slightly burnt was stale. All were thrown away.
I know we could have complained, but we had had to wait a long while in the first place for the order, and then had to walk over to the picnic tables outside, so by then we had just had enough, and went home.
We have been before, and even then it was average, but doubt we will bother again.

We went at 9am on Friday and it was absolutely perfect. Lots of parking and very cheap for just £1. A little cafe and a gorgeous little park. We enjoyed a short walk with our little girl. Everyone was very friendly. Very well kept and clean.

Great walks, 3 to choose from, map to help you decide which is best for you. Nice little cafe, £1 to park for the day. Small play area for young ones. Would go again when in the area

Lovely stop off on our way to Ludlow. Nice picnic area with children's play area. Nature walk is lovely other walkers so friendly
Topped off with a gorgeous hot chocolate and parking is only £1 !!!

We came here after a very bad experience at Erddig today (June 2023) because Erddig have no refreshments for anyone just doing a circular woodland walk with their dogs All they seem interested in is getting people signed up for membership :(
We got in the car dehydrated and made for Alyn Waters and WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The staff were amazing 🤩 Dog bowls, Dog ice cream and tea coffee and fabulous food for all of us :)
We will definitely be coming again
Can’t thank the staff enough for saving our Father’s Day outing ❤️

Which walking route is the easiest or flattest?

Probably the green route. All three routes are pretty easy and on good terrain however the green doesn’t have a hill and is the shortest.

No not all . Drive in main entrance to cafe where there is disabled parking. There are signs(maps) giving you best route for wheel chairs really hope this helps you, I must admit I love the walks there

Hi no you can't cross the river as its a horse statuary on the other side, and there are only toilets by the visitor centre, the golf course has been knocked down now,
