This hike was excellent. Easy in and out. The scenery was spectacular and allowed me so many photo opportunities. I’ve hiked this many times and it never gets old or boring.

True amazing. Over 700 images, you can walk right up to them. Wear comfortable shoes take water. Not a far hike from parking lot. So much to see, relax and take binoculars.

Absolutely incredible! Be prepared it climb & hike around if you want to see them all. You can view from the ground, but if you want to get up close & personal you’ll have to climb up. I could have stayed here for days just embracing the art & peacefulness.

Beautiful, nice and easy walk! I've got a handicapped placard and a bad back and was able to move around comfortably. There is a bathroom on site, but it isn't the best and best used only in a pinch. Lots of different petroglyphs to look at and walk around - able to get very close to them and take lots of photos! It is ABSOLUTELY worth the 15 - 20 minute drive from downtown Laughlin as an added bonus you also drive along Christmas Tree Pass - the dirt road itself is better than a lot of other private roads we've been on so it was a nice ride out to the site as well. We went during March 2023 so we didn't encounter snakes, other animals as it had been raining the days before and was cold outside. Doing off the path kind of weird little hikes has been our couples adventure and I was really happy we did this one!

This is a must see if you are into pictographs. The drive in is only a couple of miles down a well marked and maintained dirt road. Then the walk in is in a sandy wash about 1/4 mile and there you will see a large number of pictographs amongst the rocks. So many to see and so easy to get to. You can hike in farther if you like, but I was more than thrilled with what we saw so close to the parking lot. Nice for those who don’t want a long hike.

We were looking for a nature trek to do while in the Laughlin area which is full of buildings and casino. The drive out to the canyon was about 15 minutes. Easy 2 mile drive on the dirt road with our RAV. Easy walk thru the river bed to the entrance of the canyons where the petroglyphs are located. We did not hike further as it was stepper with rock climbing and we were not prepared with hiking shoes. The carvings are well preserved. I just wish I knew what the meanings are.

Seems like almost all of the petroglyph are at the very beginning of the canyon. About quarter Mike from the parking lot. Saw a big rattle snake about 5 feet away in our path on the rocks. Watch your step !

On our trip from Vegas to Laughlin, we could not find the road. Found it on the way back to Vegas. It’s a two mile drive on a washboard road, but our rental van handled it fine. Just drive slow! After hitting the parking area, you have a 1/4 mile walk to the site. It’s crunchy stones (like walking on beach sand). It’s well worth the trip. Both of us being 74, we could only view the close stuff(I understand there is much more if you’re young enough to do the hiking).

On our way back to Vegas after spending the night in Laughlin we decided to make a stop at Christmas Tree Pass and check out Grapevine Canyon, we're so glad we did, just incredible! Words and pictures can't truly do justice to the beauty of this area. 1st of all it's about 2 miles back off the main road following a dirt road so it's a bit slow going but not an issue if you have an SUV or a pickup. Once you get back to the parking area it's a short hike back into the canyon and it's well worth it to see the Petroglyphs and all. We had never seen anything like this before and glad we stopped by to see, just amazing! It's not a far drive from the strip so if you're in Vegas and want to try something new check this out, just incredible!

On my understanding the park ranger gets to be around the area but I didn't see any sign that prohibits not to park there during night time. Maybe you should try it and share the info with all of us.

I'm going in October, but coming by bus. I can see that I can Uber to get to the canyon, but will I have phone service to arrange and Uber back?
Escrita el 19 de agosto de 2018
I think the service will be unreliable.

This place sounds great, what is the average time spent there?
Escrita el 28 de enero de 2018
It would take about an hour to view the rock art. Obviously you can spend as much time as you would like walking through the Canyon. If you would like, Christmas Tree Pass is about 13 miles long. This road is not paved but relatively in good shape for a non 4x4 vehicle. Wildlife and nice scenery along the way.

is there a helicopter tour to grand canyon Aug 15, 16, 17, 18, 2017 and what does it cost
Escrita el 14 de agosto de 2017
We did a helicopter tour of the west rim Grand Canyon. That is also where the sky bridge is located. It's probably about an hour and half from Laughlin nv. It well worth the price and they have them going all day long. Hope that helps some. This was listed under grapevine Canyon though 😊
