Enjoyed browsing this gallery. Liked the diversity of the artwork, some by local artists, and the lovely jewelry. Wasn’t really shopping but felt welcome just wandering through. Appreciated that. Definitely worth a stop.

Enjoy visiting here to see their newest collections. Wide variety of jewelry offered. Staff is helpful and not pushy. Its a credit to Ruidoso.

The Adobe is a wonderful gallery filled with beautiful paintings and jewelry that are regionally local. I enjoy going in there every time I visit Ruidoso and seeing the shining faces of the employees that greet you as you walk in. Worth the visit if you are in the area!

First, I am not an art gallery person. That being said, I enjoy the Adobe. They have a wide selection of artwork including paintings , bronzes, and sculptures. They also have some beautiful and unique mineral specimens. The proprietors are native Texans and are very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a large collection from my new favourite artist, Jim Rabby. For those unfamiliar with Rabby, his contemporary impressionist palette knife oil paintings with their vivid colours capture the spirit of New Mexico. His life story is also extremely inspirational. I was fortunate to meet him at his Santa Fe Gallery after purchasing one of his pieces at the Adobe. The Adobes old time lemon drops in the candy bowl is worth a trip alone. I look forward to going back on my next trip.

We are frequent visitors or Ruidoso and always end up at the Adobe for at least one item. You will not find finer jewelry anywhere in the Southwest. Do check out the website and you will see what I mean.

My intention was to make a quick stroll through the gallery (I was in Ruidoso for the first time). One hour later, and another visit the next day.....and I returned to Texas with some great art. Morgan, the gallery director, was very helpful. I can't allow myself to return for at least a couple of years while my budget recuperates. That said, I do believe the prices on art were good. I did not look at jewelry, much as I would have liked to.

The Adobe has enjoyed many years of success, with good reason. Other Ruidoso shops sell copycat merchandise, so that browsing on Sudderth can feel like walking into the same store, over and over again. By contrast, the Adobe can be counted on to feature things that are truly unique. Owners John and Annie are warm and gracious and between them have a fabulous eye for things new and different. You are always in for a pleasant surprise.

We were looking for a picture for our home in Texas. The owners and other staff worked very hard showing several piece in the showroom. We were unable to fine the right piece but again a must location to visit for Fine Art.

Take a large number of paintings which are finished products then add unneeded extra bright colors to them. To me that describes the works I saw there.
Same with jewelry, specialize in 10-15 or more carats extra bright stones.
My opinion is that there is some art philosophy here that brighter is better which I don't share.
So far this is my least favorite art gallery in Ruidoso. Others need not agree.
