The trip was pretty short. We had to wait for a couple that had a reservation just like we did, by the time they got outfitted with equipment we did not even leave until 10:45, when we were supposed to go @10:30. It was only a very short boat ride to where there is a sand bar and where the sea turtles live. (My fiancé and I️ snorkeled out there the next day by ourselves, no boat, that is how close to shore it is) we only were out there for about an hour before our “guide” motioned for the boat. Besides the sea turtles (which were quite small) there was really nothing to see out there where they took us, the fish were very small and there was hardly any coral. We saw more the day before when we went out on our own, but we had our own snorkels, masks and fins, getting rental equipment was not a concern for us. So I️ would have to say we were actually in the water for about an hour, we were back on the beach a few minutes before noon. There are a lot of dive and snorkel shops along the promenade (3 or 4 right next to this one!) you just have to find one that has a trip, duration and destination that you are looking for. Our little trip was $25 each for an hour worth of work on their part, I️ probably would not do this trip again. We were staying in a hotel on the beach and having to catch a ship was not one of our concerns, I️ would have liked a longer and more interesting excursion. Hope this helps!
