Went to 56 with a friend who lives in Oswestry. Really lovely place, the owner was absolutely lovely and really looked after us. Food and drink was amazing. Everyone in there was having a ball singing along to the music. Fab night!

We stumbled on this place when we were staying in Oswestry. We just came in for a drink but ended up staying for food as well. Small and intimate and the 2 owners were super friendly and introduced us to a couple of locals who again were very friendly. Great selection of beers and wines. We had the chicken tikka flatbread which was delicious and lamb flatbread which was also great. When the bill came I couldn't believe what good value it was. To summarise great ambiance, super friendly, great food and drink and super value. Would thoroughly recommend.

Where do I start? Exceptional service, exceptional food and drink and a wonderful atmosphere
Nothing was too much trouble and staff were knowledgeable and attentive
We have a combination board and it was a delightful mix of meats and cheeses along with other goodies
Wine was delicious and definitely ask for the secret cocktail
I can’t wait to return

Fabulous wine bar, great selection of drinks and great atmosphere, highly recommend … we went after dinner on a Friday evening, so impressed we returned on Saturday evening too!

Superb wine bar. We happened upon it on an overnight stay in Oswestry. It's only small and there was no room when we tried for a pre-dinner drink. But it looked so nice that we tried again after dinner. We were so glad that we went back, as it was a lovely gaff! Great wine, cosy decor and we had a really nice chat with the owner. He was very friendly and welcoming and showed us how to play a game they had in the bar. Most enjoyable.

What an absolute gem we have found. I can’t believe we have not been before. The wine was delicious and a super choice. The food was incredible! So tasty and just perfect to graze on whilst my sister and I gossiped the night away. We had the baked Camembert to start followed by a superb grazing board. Delicious! But what makes this place is the service. The gorgeous people who make you feel welcome, look after your every need and now feel like friends! I literally can’t wait to book again. Thank you for bringing this experience to Oswestry. Wishing this business continued success.

imply amazing!! Food was outstanding and so tasty I can’t wait to go back !! The atmosphere was calm and warm and everyone was chatting and enjoying themselves. Service was superb and the gentleman behind the bar was chatty, funny and very welcoming!!
The portions are very generous!!
The menu is simple but they have nailed it as you know the saying…. Less is more !! But when I say less is more that applies to the menu not the boards as the portions are massive!!!
Owners are lovely and put us at ease and I would highly recommend!! Just remember to book .
