Beautiful place with amazing people who are very passionate about their drinks. Natural and barrel brewing, making amazing stuff that isn't like most craft that's punchy in one particular area, more of a balanced drink. Cider was amazing as well.
They've got a lovely area to hang out and have a drink, bbq's, heck they suggest you bring a picnic! Will 100% be back next time we're in Tassie.
Thanks Jane, great afternoon and well worth the trip.

Stoped in on the way back to Hobart from mount Field National Park. As others have said, this is a brewery at the back of a farm up a dirt track. Very rural setting with chickens and cows and a row of hops. We got a taste of the three beers on tap and a cider and a brief run down of the natural brewing (no added yeast) which creates a slightly sour flavour to the ale. I could appreciate the complexity of the flavours- but decided it’s probably an acquired taste. My younger daughter said it’s a very popular thing right now... definitely worth the stop to try, but not sure I’d go back. There was a group there having a picnic and they seemed to be enjoying themselves 🙂

In a wonderful setting amongst some of the most spectacular country you’ll find this gem of a place. Take the time to hear the brewer’s story and his brewing philosophy and you’ll appreciate that their beer is much more than a drink. It’s a standout, a way of life.

Rustic setting, with a small bar in a shed that serves beer on tap, ciders and mead. Our palates weren’t sophisticated enough to appreciate what was going on here, so perhaps read others reviews on this place.

We stopped here on the way back from Russell Falls and had a great time here. It really feels like a farm that also happens to serve beer. From the number of locals there, it also felt a bit like a neighborhood pub. My son (2) really enjoyed watching the pigs while Dad was enjoying a drink.

For those expecting to find lagers or IPAs, you'll be disappointed. All of the farmhouse ales are sour to varying degrees which were interesting for me to try. If you don't mind something a little different, it's definitely worth a stop.

Great friendly service. Boutique brewery. Unique earthy styles well worth trying. As we were told. Dont rely on the first mouthful. Wait for the palate to adjust and make your judgement then. Lovely day in the autumn sun.
The brewer is 2m tall, thus the name.

This is an enterprise of passion and commitment to excellence, don't arrive expecting ice cold schooners of VB or similar. These are sour beers and various ciders that are totally unique and of extraordinary quality. My third visit and was the top of my wish list for my 60th birthday, didn't disappoint as usual. A great location on the farm, we watched as some hops were hand picked, visited the pigs and just relaxed over a few beers.

We felt very welcomed by Jane and Ashley. Both are obviously very knowledgeable and Ashley is extremely passionate. They are very proud of their product, and they have every reason to be. The sour ales are just delicious. The brewery in the middle of this farm is a true sight to be seen. It is so peaceful. There was no hesitation in taking us through the whole brewery to see the operation from start to finish. They were very patient with questions from the group and seemed to really enjoy the stream of visitors and the interest their product is generating. I second the comments about having some plates of cold cuts/cheese available for purchase. Whilst there is mention of sausages to cook, I never saw anything nor was it offered. So we bought some beers after the tour and left for lunch elsewhere.

We stumbled upon this little gem while taking a drive up the Derwent Valley,it virtually is a pub in a field which specialises in cider and beer,Have to say the apple cider was really scrummy, they provide BBQ area for your own food, really recommend here as the atmosphere was great, but for future enterprise on their part would suggest they introduce cold cut plates as it would be nice to snack while sampling the excellent products.

There's nothing flash about 2MT, this is a real farm , with real farmhouse beers. Great range of interesting and delicious sour beers of varying ages. No food available, however you can purchase some farm raised beef sausages and BBQ them up yourself. The cows are fed with the beers spent grain, so the beer is really all around you. A unique beer experience, and my favorite in Tasmania!
