Visiting the Moda Center from a state that serves multiple pro teams, this was a different experience. The arena definitely feels older, but it’s interesting to have it dedicated purely to one pro team. The seats, the decor, the concourse is all Trail Blazers colors and theme. At my home arena in Denver, the arena is an even mix of basketball and hockey so you never have one pure theme. It was kinda nice!
The arena itself was okay. I wish the upper level had more food and merch options, but it was okay. It’s easy to maneuver around.
All I really have to say is I’m glad we took an Uber and didn’t drive the rental car. There is parking, but it’s all ticketed and there isn’t that much garage space. People were selling parking in the area for like $60. It’s better to Uber and just find a local business to Uber back from. Our driver even told us that was best because it’s hard to pick up at the arena itself.

I dipped into to the Moda Center to watch my hometown Magic beat this sorry Trailblazer team. The arena is clearly an older building that they've slapped some modern features on to try and make it look good. The concourses are super narrow, which is perhaps the biggest annoyance of the experience. The arena also has some ancient scoreboards and video screens. It looks like they were built in the 1980s and they just never wanted to pay for an update. I will say that the vendors look good here, but I had already eaten prior to the game. That appears to be the best part of the experience. This is an arena you are pretty safe buying a cheap ticket and slipping down. I had one up in the upper deck and found my way to lower bowl midcourt about 15 rows up - even on opening night. The parking situation seems pretty poor so I took the light rail down. The light rail doesn't seem to be competent and had massive delays when the game was over. My suggestion would be parking at the Gateway transit center. That way you have three rail lines going back and you improve your chances of getting a timely ride. Pretty bad NBA arena overall.

My better half's favorite band was touring the US this spring and she had to see them. She scored tickets for the shows in Portland and Salt Lake. We had attended a U-2 show at the MODA years ago so we were somewhat familiar with the venue. We really enjoyed ourselves. The venue was clean and all the staff were very helpful. We felt safe the whole time even walking to our hotel after the concert. Can't wait to see
The Cure there next time!!

For a nearly 30 year old building, the Moda Center is pretty great shape! We had reasonably priced club level tickets for a Trail Blazers game and enjoyed great sightlines and plenty of legroom.

Moda Center, Part 1

The state of being grateful: thankfulness
Well if that is what gratitude means, then THANKFULNESS is surely required. I mean, how could that not be your immediate and uncontrollable reaction after being the guest of @corradiniphoto for a Portland Trail Blazers game when you’ve been treated to seats on the floor?
Where does one even begin to express such gratitude? I suppose you could begin by
describing the exhilaration of passing through the very same tunnel that the players did just seconds after they strode onto the court pregame. I think I could have floated home after just that singular moment! 🤯
But wait, there’s more…after that an actual NBA game broke out with portions of our “team” front and center there to witness the entire ballet.
Yes, you heard me correctly. The fast-twitch muscle fiber symphony of movement of the players seemed to equal so much of the grace and discipline found on an entirely different “stage.” And amidst so many other distinctions, while I may not be considered “short” at 5’10”, I definitely felt “height challenged” as I compared by stature to the behemoths roaming the floor during this contest.
The constant sneaker squeaks (created by great footwork), the private player conversations with the refs (👂), the overall physicality of the game (💪), and our visit with Bigfoot (👣) the mascot made being so close to the action super exciting!
To make this experience even better, @dbrow7 hooked us up with some serious kicks (Air Jordan 7 Cardinal) that were the perfect compliment, especially for an event so near Nike Headquarters.
And amazing evening provided by family and friends!
And that’s…Henry’s Take.

Moda Center is located in Downtown Portland Oregon. This is a great venue to see a concert. I saw the Carrie Underwood Denim and Rhinestones tour, it was amazing. I remember watching her on America Idol and thought she had a great voice, but love her voice is remarkable. Jimmie Allen open for her, and her was very good. This was a great concert.

This is one of our favorite venues to see just about anything in. From basketball to music concerts, the staff and team are amazing. Also the arena has done a great job of bringing in some of PDX's best casual eats into the facility. We no longer eat before shows and games but look at this facility as a great way to spend an evening regardless of the reason. Parking tip, as with any of these types of facilities, try and park as low as you can in the garage. For big shows if you are at the top of the garage you will most likely be waiting close to 30 mins before you start to even move. I often can find parking within a few blocks fo the venue at offices that have opened up their parking lot for events, these lots normaly only take cash and will run about $40 depending on the show. Often the garages are only $30 but they fill up fast and should be purchased in advance if available.

Last weekend was my 54th live Doobie Brother concert for me. It was extra special with a 'Sound Check' VIP pass and a front-row seat. The music was terrific and the band always delivers great rock n' roll. Having Michael join the reunion made the set special as we just lost founder Little John Hartman, it is an emotional time for the band and fans. On the other hand, the Moda Center security staff SUCK. They were in my face 6 times and I wasn't doing anything wrong. They kept demanding to see my ticket, every time. During the concert, they were rude and abrupt. Love the Doobie Brothers, stay away from Moda Center!

They are standard sized. Similar to the width of a standard airplane seat.

I’m going to the concert on Sunday the 25th of September 2022. I am not vaccinated, do I need to have a negative test in order to enter ?

Does each section have a stairway on both sides of the rows?

Hey, I'm going to a show here on Monday. Lost my wallet. Will I need to show ID?

Not to get in, If you already have your ticket. But if you want any alcohol, then yeah.

are we allowed to go down into the first level to take pictures before the game, even if our seats are in the second level?
Escrita el 13 de marzo de 2018
We have done it. Not sure if allowed or not. Avoid eye contact and just walk past ushers like you know where you're going. Then, of course, go to your assigned seats afterwards.

Hi, Juli. What would you like to know about this attraction?
So what hotel did you stay at that was within walking distance? Interested in flying out for NBA game and would like not to have to drive after game. Thanks

Crowne Plaza Hotel Portland-Downtown Convention Center
You can walk from here; however, just make sure you are NOT alone coming back late at night. We actually took an Uber to and from!

We are sitting in lower 102 for Panic! At The Disco and I was wondering if the speaker is going to muffle the whole sound. I couldn't really tell where the speakers were.
