What an amazing space the family has here and the wines are good too! We arrived mid-afternoon on a Thursday and were surprised to really be the only ones in the tasting room. This was great as we had a great visit with the tasting room staff who even took us on a tour of the immediate ranch area. It's a beautiful spot and absolutely GREAT as an event space. If only I lived closer this would become my favorite go to event spot - weddings, corporate events, wedding/baby shower - just a great space. As this was our first wine tasting experience in Oregon we were pleasantly surprised at the low key approach - no push to become a member, no upselling, just a pleasant tasting experience. Definitely take the time to stop here and take in the wine and the beauty of this working ranch.

Plaisance is very pleasant, to be sure. A working farm/ranch producing incredible meats, and their wines are outstanding. We recently attended an independent wine tasting at the Jacksonville Inn, Jacksonville, OR and one the award winning wines from around the world that they selected by their sommelier was a Tempranillo from this vineyard/winery.

We visited Plaisance several times this year and were never disappointed; friendly, down-to-earth folks and excellent products.

I highly recommend visiting Willaims, OR to enjoy Plaisance.

This converted dairy farm is a bit off the path but well worth the small detour. The owner and winemaker, Joe, is fun and engaging. We were fortunate to be given a small tour. The wines include tempranilllo, Spotted Horse Pinot Nir, cab franc (sold out when we were there), petite Verdot, cabs and many, many more. The wines and company were both wonderful.

Owner Joe Ginet went from dairy farmer to certified root stock grower, French winemaker, and grass fed organic beef rancher, all on one large beautiful property. Wines are rich and lovely....he makes 19 varietals, most from French cuttings....some I never heard of. A great find! Try to visit during the week so Joe will have plenty of time to chat with you.

My wife and i joined Susie and Joe Ginet for their Wine Down Friday in August. Live music, great wines and dinner from the food truck made the evening memorable. We have picked up several different bottles for our son in law, who served some to his boss in Seattle with great results.
The Ginet family has an incredible wine and beef history in the area along with their cousins in Savoie Region of Eastern France.

The best wine and wine tasting experience we had on our Oregon trip. We visited many wineries in the south and north of Oregon, including in the Willamette valley, and this was my favourite. The Pinot Noir (clone 828) and Syrah we tasted were exceptional, and the Cabernet Franc was excellent too. Our host was lovely. She showed us around the winery and let us wax seal the bottles. I wish we could buy these in the UK. Highly recommended!

Went with friends for wine tasting and a picnic. They have a very nice selection (love their Pinot Noir) of reds and whites for tasting. They charge $10 per person but wave the fee if you each buy a bottle.

We also scored big time by visiting on a beautiful day. The setting a beautiful out back.

We live in Southern Oregon and have many wineries close by, but Plaisance Ranch is, by far, our favorite. The wines, are wonderful, and Joe and Suzie are delightful hosts. We are very pleased to be wine club members, and the selections that come from Plaisance Ranch are always delicious and reasonably priced. We also enjoy Plaisance Ranch's organically raised, grass-fed beef. If friends are visiting from out of town, this is the winery that we'll take them to. They just don't get any better. Fancier perhaps, but not better.

The ranch is family owned, simple, and tasteful. The wine tasting area feels like entering someone's home, and that is how we were treated. The wines are very good and competitive with Napa Valley in every way except two. They are not competitive relative to price - way less expensive at Plaisance. They are also not competitive at the extremely high end. High end Napa wines are superior, but for us the value is not there at the very high end.

If you like very good wines at reasonable prices this is a great choice. If you wish to join the wine club, expect the waiting list to be about six months but well worth the wait.
