My wife and I attended the latest production of the AD Players, The Play that GOES WRONG and it was hilarious. One of the best comedies we have ever seen. Well staged and the actors were all on top of their game. Basicly this is a play about a play that if it can go wrong it does and it is great. Please check out the AD Players either this show or the one in the future.

Dear Jack, Dear Louise is a wonderful play with a romantic and entertaining story. The production was of excellent quality from the actors, the costumes, the venue and the staff. The theater is beautiful and in a easy location to attend with free parking and comfortable seating.

Our first time in this new location - on Westheimer just a few blocks west of the galleria. Plenty of free parking and a beautiful building. Not a bad seat in the house. A lovely lobby, too, where drinks are served. We went to hear Mike Eldred, a beloved American tenor and an equally wonderful quartet of gifted musicians. It was a fabulous evening of beautiful music. I encourage everyone to see Mike Eldred whenever he’s back in Houston. We’ll definitely go back to see other productions now that we’ve had this wonderful experience.

I went to a matinee performance of West Side Story with my grown daughters as part of our regular “Girl’s Day Out”. It was our first time to this theater and to see A. D. Players and we were all very impressed! The show was wonderful, the talent amazing. As first timers we didn’t realize that the venue is small and intimate. We were several rows back but truly felt as if we could almost reach out and touch the actors. We will definitely go back often and I’m already planning to take my grandsons to one of their children’s shows! Highly Recommended!!

We love the AD Players theater, have been coming for 20 years or more. Have loved the plays they perform, always done well and have respectful and descent content. You laugh in many of them and occasionally cry.

Tuesday's with Morie was one of the best we have seen at AD Players.

This is a gem of a theater that more people in Houston should discover.

Houston is a city noted for its culture and its nationally known theater district. The downtown theaters are certainly a top draw, but the nice thing about Houston is that live performances exist throughout the city, in venues large and small. One that I attended and liked very much is the A.D. Players George Theater on Westheimer.

A.D. Players puts on stage performances throughout the year and features adaptions of well- known plays along with lesser known plays. This theater was built only a short time ago, so it has a fresh, clean look. The building is quite large and from the outside, it looks like a much larger theater than it actually is.

Speaking of the theater, A.D. Players features a downstairs level and a balcony. Views are good no matter where you sit and that is partly because the theater itself isn’t that big. It’s smaller than many of the movie theaters in the area, but this size is nice because it means you are right there, close to the stage and the action.

The service at A.D. Players is professional and courteous. They open the door for guests as they arrive and depart and they are quick to answer questions and make you feel at home. They serve drinks and snacks also, but make sure you finish before the show begins, because you cannot take your food and drink into the theater with you.

With this large building comes another pleasant surprise: There is a large parking lot, and it’s free! As anyone knows who frequents the Galleria and downtown, parking is often in short supply and it usually comes with a charge. I was caught off guard when I saw this large, free parking lot and even had to inquire with the staff first to make sure everything was okay. Given past experiences, I didn’t want to park and later discover my car was towed, but I was quickly assured that, yes, this large parking lot belongs entirely to A.D. Players George Theater and there is no charge to use it.

Live stage performances are a regular part of life in Houston and A.D. Players is one of the places leading the way in encouraging and celebrating the arts. It’s a very nice facility and it features several plays throughout the year, all for a fair price. It’s worth checking whether you live in Houston or are here visiting, as you are bound to come away with deep sense of appreciation on many levels.

the new theater is beautiful. the plays at this theater are always professionally done and will bring to life different aspects of the Bible or situations in real life that pertain or have connections to the Bible. Highly recommended. Plenty of parking.

A friend and I saw God's Favorite, a comedy by Neil Simon, in July 2018. The theater is on Westheimer near Loop 610 and is pretty easy to get to and easy to get home. Our seats were on left side of the theater on the main floor - excellent seating, good view of the stage. The theater is pleasant and attractive. The sets were high quality. The acting was high quality. The costumes, especially the ones for the character Joe Benjamin, were great. The change of sets from first act to second act were amazing - how did they pull this off in such a short intermission time? This play was very good - plenty of characters, interesting plots and subplots. Neil Simon gave us plenty to think about later. Really enjoyed this presentation of this play.
We ate beforehand from the offerings by Churrasco's and were very pleased with our salads and shared panini, which was a generous portion.

We recently saw the play "Lilies of the Field" at the fairly new theater. We understand from others in our party that the old theater was a lot smaller and in a different location. We sat in the balcony but could see just fine as the venue is not that large. Our seats were comfortable and the venue was modern and clean. They do offer some food options if you are hungry. The actors in this play were very good and we enjoyed it. Another nice thing was free parking within steps of the door. That doesn't usually happen very often in Houston.
