Very enjoyable experirnce. Pity it was a very cloudy day so could not fully enjoy the scenery. Hopefully will go again in late August.

Today I want to give a long overdue review about the lake landscape Brombachsee/Altmühlsee. Especially about the parking lot rip-off and the associated police checks of the Gunzenhausen Police Inspectorate. Neither the parking ticket machine is able to issue change or extend parking time accordingly, nor does it accept debit or credit cards in today’s age – this is simply a sign of poverty!
But the crowning glory is the police "controls" or tourist rip-offs. The officers apparently had no other mission than to check in the parking lots if the car had a license plate. I received a fine of 60€ because I had mounted the license plate of my car on the bicycle rack and thus the car was at that moment without license plate, but this could be seen on the bicycle rack. Ironically, the police can hipsterically hand out QR codes as a fine, while the parking ticket machine is not even able to give out change. This is also not the first time this has happened to me. Already two years ago, there was a similar case in a parking lot in a dead end street, where the police had to drive in to hand out unnecessary fines to tourists.
One more word about the garbage concept at the lake, which provides that everyone takes their garbage back with them – well, those who believe in it are unfortunately taught something better in reality.

Today me and my husband were out with our little dog at Brombachsee.
We have already inquired before because there are plenty of signs there, which is prohibited,
and these are, however, poorly described and not clearly explained.
I also have to say that the dog beach is totally disgusting and that's why we don't let our dog near there. He seems abandoned and not exactly clean.
Last year we were located in the same place as today, far away from the bathing beach (as we do not bathe there)very close to the walkway.
The forbidden sign read:Dogs on a lead and only in the area of the paths🤔that was us too.Our dog was lying with me on a lead at the side of the path as well as another lady opposite maybe 3 meters away!
By the way, she didn’t get a penalty because she supposedly lay on the other side of the sidewalk🤔🤔also on the green area but close to the sidewalk, where I wonder what the difference is.
After some time a car of the Zweckverband drove by from Brombachsee and after 5 minutes the law enforcement officers came.
You said there's a penalty because the dog can't be here.
According to the officials they would have driven by before but we wouldn't have disturbed only the Zweckverband sent them because they were supposed to do their job?
Then why weren't we once warned by the Zweckverband itself?
Above all, we weren't the only ones with a dog, but only we got a penalty?
The law enforcement officers were I have to say still friendly to us and we had the feeling that they even had a bit of a hard time giving us a penalty.
Since it is unfortunately a short summer in Germany and the weather is not always so optimal and then you want to enjoy a few hours with your family, then you get a penalty for visiting a lake and supporting the gastronomy, paying parking and taking your own garbage home again🤔
I wonder how dogs friendly it really is here, on the one hand the dog is allowed in the restaurant but on green areas he is not allowed although some people make more dirt than animals?
And if a dog disturbs in the fresh air who is on a lead, does his business elsewhere, does not bark and sits peacefully?
Actually, the people who try to take their dogs everywhere should get a premium and not a penalty?
That was the last visit to Brombachsee!Never again!

Schöner See.
ABER:
No trash cans far and wide.
Bin only for diapers and dog droppings !
In addition, a fine is immediately imposed on village idiots disguised as deputies.
Hard-to-read signs, absolute money tailoring.
Never again Brombachsee!

If you want to feel like you’re in Norway or Canada, you’ve come to the right place. For old and young, for water lovers, cyclists or just hikers, this is always worth a trip. Nice drive there, mega romantic especially if you drive over large vineyard, the cherry village.

After paying a ticket at the Seehof Hotel car park and changing location because the bistro was closed, the cashier in Absberg claimed that I had to pay again because the ticket machine from the other car park was not valid here. As I was travelling in a minibus, I was also told that I would be staying overnight and should pay for an overnight stay in a motorhome. That takes away the desire to have a beer after work, with the discussion at the car park entrance.

We had lunch in Enderndorf am See on Whit Monday.
I've never had anything like this happen to me before. After eating, a "parking ticket" (€20.-) was stuck to my windshield. Before parking in the town, I checked whether the parking lot was subject to a fee. I couldn't find any signs or information. Unfortunately, I overlooked the crucial information, which was a sign under the town sign. I know I'm responsible for this, but I think the signage was chosen intentionally.
To top it all off, I discovered that only vehicles with out-of-town license plates were given parking tickets.
What a pity!!!

Basically, the Brombachsee and the leisure activities are always worth a visit if you are not mobility impaired (without a permit). In Ramsberg, for example, you have to walk 2 km to the boat dock, as there are only bus parking spaces and 6 parking spaces for severely disabled people directly at the dock. There are also some restricted parking bans in the villages. As my mother (84) and I are mobility impaired, I had to commit this offense, money should not be an issue. For people who are fit, there are many activities on offer, from hiking to cycling, museums to the party boat.

The Brombachsee is really worth a trip. It was created artificially and has been a highlight of the region for years. There are lovely hotels, holiday apartments and campsites.
One thing you can always do at the Brombachsee is take a boat trip.
In April there was still relatively little going on and you could go on lovely hikes through the forest here.

Nice and quiet Lake, well maintained Walking/ Biking trails around the Lakes. Well worth a Visit in Spring or Summertime.Several Camping Grounds, not many Hotels, rather small B&B's.Enjoyed my visit here.Great for Biking.

Hello.
Are there any locker and changing room facilities available near lake..?
Also, is it allowed to swim in this lake..?

Are there any hiking possibilities around the lake? And where is the best place to go for a swim?
Escrita el 27 de abril de 2018
Hellov:) i think the answer is to late, but i answer anyway.
You can walk around the three lakes. And nice places to swim are Ramsberg, Allmansdorf, Pleinfeld and Enderndorf. It is also nice to swim between Allmansdorf and Enderndorf. There are no official beaches, but it is nice and quiet.
