What a great day out on a supoerb equipped and very clean boat; in fact the best boat over the last ten years of day-boating. The staff were very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Even the toilet was spotless with a variety of toiletries

This was our second visit in our motorhome. Absolutely love the site as there's always something happening. Staff very friendly. Great towpath walks and lovely scenery. Supermarket close by and some great places to visit within a short drive.

Family of 6 plus 2 small dogs, hired day boat for the day - approx 6 hours, all facilities on board, pleasant helpful staff, safe and secure with Covid stuff. Weather good a bonus. We took banquet Buffett to eat on the tow path with picnic tables. Fridge, kettle, even complimentary tea and coffee and milk. All towels and kitchen stuff - just so well run. Thankyou a brilliantly day.

We stopped over in our motorhome for two nights, oh how we wished it could have been longer! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, basic facilities but more importantly they were clean and tidy.
Yes, there is road noise (being right on the side of the A525) but soon got used to it and it blended into the background
Half a dozen grass pitches with ehu & taps, option of a hard standing pitch right next to the canal!
Nothing better than a lazy Sunday watching the boats go by! Thanks guys, we will be back

My husband and I made an overnight stop in the marina's caravan site at the end of October. Electric hook up included in the £16 fee. Very pleasant site with friendly welcoming staff. In the morning we realised we had lost most of our water and went to the office for help to find the nearest caravan/motorhome service place, which they found for us. But then sent over one of their own boat staff - a guy who happens to live in a caravan - to see if he could help. He did! Problem solved with a few judicious wiggles of a stuck valve! All done with a smile. We will be returning.

What a welcome and a really fantastic day out. Dad’s 90th birthday and one of his passions a canal day trip was the obvious answer for his birthday weekend.
Happy, informative, flexible and reassuring all describe the welcome and briefing, parking and whole experience.
The boat is in great condition, very well equipped, clean and a perfect layout for 10 in all weathers.
Lovely stretch of canal with a few choices as far as distance and stop off points for picnics etc and just enough adventure with the draw bridges.
A “hiccup” on the way back (a sea serpent aka 15’ of liner debris! got wrapped around the propeller), saw, despite our very best efforts following the comprehensive briefing, a call out. We could not have been looked after better.
All sorted and we were able to finish our cruise albeit an hour and a half late back, to patiently waiting staff, anxious that we were all ok and to help unload and see us safely off the boat. At every step they were concerned that the older passengers amongst us were ok.
Freak problem and it could not have been handled better. If I could give more than 5/5 I would.

We hired a day boat to celebrate my mother’s 94th birthday with family from different parts of the UK and a surprise for her from family who flew in specially from
California. The evening before received a phone call to say that there was a problem with the boat and a possibility the trip would be cancelled. Much stress and concern that the special arrangements would come to nothing . Well can only praise the team at Whitchurch Marina as they pulled all the stops out and worked hard to make sure the boat was repaired for our trip . Can only praise and thank them for their dedication and professionalism. We had a wonderful day great weather and great enjoyment by all . Thankyou for making this special occasion take place

We hired a day boat, for my wifes 50th birthday. Being mid August, we expected sunshine, got rain....however we still had a great day. The service was 1st class, the staff very friendly. The barge was fully equipped for a day out...cups, plates, kettle, teapot etc. There was a fridge, sink and flushing toilet and a heater which we found handy.
Would definitely recommend, and hopefully we will use again

My wife and I revently rented the aptly named "Day Tripper" for a day from their base at Whitchurch.
The experience exceeded our expectations, the reception and hand over process was professional but also very helpful and friendly. The boat was extremely well presented and equipped.
The only downside, not due to the marina, was that although there are no locks on the recommended day route, there are several lift bridges worked by winding handles and my wife found some of these to be quite hard to operate.
