Maybe it’s me, but this was very much an underwhelming attraction with little originality and nothing of particularly interest. If you like walking up decking up and down queuing for basic slides then this park is for you. whilst we had a little one of five years old he enjoyed being there and out and about there wasn’t really a huge amount to keep him engaged, and the whole park is just wooden structures where you walk up down and around. Quite boring.
I guess if the entrance prices were lower, then it would be perceived as better value than it was but the two families left thinking is that it ? And we felt it was poor value for money it’s definitely not for older children.

I visited Bewilderwood on the final week of the school holidays with my family, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. For a family of four (two adults and two children), the entry fee was a steep £90, which felt massively overpriced for what was on offer.
The equipment and attractions were quite standard and failed to hold the attention of my 10-year-old and 8-year-old for more than a couple of hours. Additionally, the long queues for some of the equipment only added to the frustration.
One aspect that particularly bothered me was the charge for adults. Most older children aren’t really fussed about having adults go on the equipment with them, so this felt very money-grabbing.
We didn’t join the huge queue for hot food but opted for the shorter queue for ice cream and hot drinks. However, as others have mentioned, this stand only sells ice creams. So why advertise hot drinks at all if you can’t actually buy them there?! To top it off, we paid £21 for 4 ice creams and 4 cans of Pepsi, which were £3.50 each.
Overall, I found Bewilderwood to be overhyped and not worth the high cost. I left feeling disappointed, ripped off and wondering what I was missing that others seem to enjoy.

At BeWILDerwood, we actively encourage adults to participate and join in the fun. Many of our activities are designed for all ages, as we believe that families can create the best memories when they play and explore together. We understand that not everyone may feel the need to get involved, but the option is always there for those who do.
Our hot drinks are usually available from our smaller lane. Unfortunately, on the day of your visit, the machine was out of order. We did put up a sign to inform visitors, but we apologise if this caused any confusion or inconvenience.

We went here for the day in August 2024, taking 4 grandchildren with us, aged from 3 to 8. The car parking is well organised on arrival and there are toilets just before the entrance for those of you with long drives to get here.
Having pre-booked (the earlier the better for prices) it was just a matter of reporting to the kiosk. I was charged another £2.00 by a very pedantic young lady at the entrance, as our tall 3 year old was just about on the marker for the next height/fee. The 4 year old was just about on the marker too and I asked whether it should be cheaper for them both as they were not actually OVER the marker! They are both under 105cm but with sturdy suitable footwear, it meant they just reached the marker. Blank looks, anyway... We were then given our wristbands. You have to put these on yourself and it will take a couple to get the knack!
So, in we go and it's bigger than you'd imagine. The wooden frames of the play areas are in good condition and there's plenty of evidence of safety features. At some places, there are staff ensuring safe play, queues and so on. I would strongly advise putting children in long sleeves and trousers or leggings. There are plenty of little tumbles happening around the place and a risk of friction burns on slides. They give you a foot bag for slides, so basically you're sliding on your clothes rather than a mat. They are protecting the slide, not you! There are some zip lines here but with restricted access.
There's plenty of bark around for soft flooring but this makes it very difficult for some prams or wheel chairs. The paths are basic woodland paths, so if you have a wheeled picnic bag, certain wheelchair or prams, you might struggle getting around. I wasn't impressed by the sign posts, it didn't seem obvious which way to go on occasions.
We found one of the cafes was shut. Prices are not ridiculous but the coffee or hot chocolate were not nice. Take your own as there are some picnic tables around the site but heed the warning about wheeled picnic boxes and the paths.
The 8 year old grandson was very bored but the 3 girls were kept busy/entertained easier as the colour or pixie/fairy themes were more appealing to them. I've got mixed feelings about the place. Some people will love this type of thing but others will quickly get bored with it.
We've tried it and enjoyed it overall but I won't be suggesting that we go there again, it's not as good as the hype..

Our ticketing pricing is based on height rather than age, as this ensures that each child has access to the appropriate areas and activities. Since your 3-year-old was just over 105cm, this would have allowed her to enjoy the larger zip wires, which aren’t accessible to children under that height for safety reasons.
The foot sacks provided at the slides are a safety measure to ensure that shoes don’t get caught while sliding, helping to prevent accidents.

What a great place to visit for families with young children. In my view, it links impressionable young ones with nature. There are great designed activities intertwined with trees and shrubs and events to entertain all age groups. Food facilities are well covered and offer good value for money for families to enjoy together in the many allocated areas available.
Parking, check-in and customer service are all to a high standard.

It was really busy, as would have been expected during the summer holidays and there was only one cafe open with very few staff in relation to demand. The queues for food and coffee were 55 mins long which is ridiculous especially when you are solo parenting. There were 2 lanes to choose from and the queue that signposted you for just 'ice cream and hot drinks' was smaller, so I changed into that smaller queue, since since I just wanted a hot drink with caffeine, thankfully we had packed lunch.
After being up all night with my toddler, I needed a coffee to get through the day. Sadly when I got to the front I was then told it was only for ice cream. This point aggravated a number of customers that did the same thing I did and it obviously caused unnecessary conflict for the staff. Just alter the sign to say ice cream only, it's surely not difficult , or do as stated and sell hot drinks 🙈 also open the other cafe near the entrance - it's summer holidays!! Parents need the caffeine! I know these are first world problems but come on, it's nearing the end of the summer holidays, parents are exhausted they need coffee. Get more staff or something and sort out your signposts!! ..right I'll go and have an early night now ! Not sure I can go through all that again without caffeine, so probably won't return.
The toilets were cramped and dirty too. Hard to navigate with a baby strapped on which was unavoidable when solo parenting 🙈

Typically, coffee is also available from the second lane, but unfortunately, the coffee machine was out of order that day. We did put up a sign and had a staff member informing visitors, but we're sorry this caused confusion and inconvenience. We’ll make sure to improve our signage in the future to avoid any mix-ups.
We also apologise for the condition of the toilets and will pass this feedback along to our team to ensure we address it properly.

We came very last minute (decided the evening before) travelling across from North Yorkshire and did not regret it. Attended just me and the kids (12,4,3) We had a fantastic day, sliding and swinging and climbing. So much space to just let them do their own thing. Didn’t bother with the map just went and played wherever we can across and we were still finding new areas right at the end of the day.
There was something to do for all the ages of my children and we could all join in together. I found that although The staff were young they were very friendly and patient with the children.
My only two negatives was there was a a bit of a wait at the food stand. And I think admission was a bit pricey as we didn’t know we were coming in advance. Overall would not stop me booking again and will make it a point to return again.

Fab day out. We took 5 kids aged 6 to 10 and they loved every bit of it ! Can go in any weather. Is expensive but if you book in advance it's cheaper. Food court could be better and tippee you can sit under was a bit small.

A fun day out and my children did enjoy it but it is VERY expensive for a family with 3 children. For the price you pay I would expect a bit more from the majority of the staff. The slides are huge and children over 92cm are able to use them. I noticed on a few occasions the staff were not there supervising or were chatting and so not really focused on what the children were doing; quite dangerous when busy. My 3 year old went down a slide and slipped half way causing her to come down head first and scream at the bottom. I was still at the top with my other child and there were no members of staff to offer first aid at all. The lady at the top of the slide just stood there looking at me. I was expecting an offer of a cold compress etc but just got a blank/disinterested look.

What a fantastic place to visit. All family enjoyed their day out and didnt want to come home.So much to do and see and play. Staff are lovely and friendly.

Helloo there! We find that BeWILDerwood is best best enjoyed by families with children aged 2-12 years. However, we do find that older children and teenagers enjoy our zip wires and hugeee slides too! We often find they enjoy it more when visiting with a younger sibling too. BeWILDerwood is a family adventure park which means everyone visiting can enjoy all the play equipment just as much as children. We like to see everyone get stuck in and run, jump, swing and laugh your day away all together! If you have a teenager who enjoys the outdoors, has a sense of adventure and imagination then they should still enjoy BeWILDerwood. We hope this helps! xx

Helloo! BeWILDerwood is best best enjoyed by families with children ages 2-12 years. Although we have special areas for teeny explorers too, including our Toddlewood on the Hill and Tiptoe Valley. Plus, adults play tooooo here so it really is a soopa doopa day out for all the family to enjoy together! We hope that helps! xx
