Beautifully restored house. The cosy Potting Shed cafe in the park is miles nicer (and a bit cheaper) than the cafe in the house. (Stale cakes and pallid pastries and we won't bother again.)

This is a great park with greater potential. Currently, the paths of the park are being replaced but they have been doing so at rapid speed. This park has the motorway (M4) passing over it, which surprisingly dosen’t create a lot of noise and it creates a good shady space. I would recommend this park.

A lovely green space with access to the River Brent and canal. Pretty woodland walks, plenty of space to kick a ball about and the splendid house and grounds.. Lots for families and nice open space for kids to run around in and remain in view but plenty of quiet spots away from the noise. Even the motorway noise doesn't intrude.

I've been through this park a number of times walking to / from the Grand Union canal. It is a large park with a lovely looking manor house and plenty of places to kick a football about. It is a bit light on facilities and really needs a cafe and toilets.

Another day another walk and today we were walking from Boston Manor tube station 🚉 all the way to Richmond tube Station 🚉.
We left Boston Manor tube and walked until we reach Boston Manor Park, from the outside it does not look that interesting, but once inside your be very surprised.
As you pass the lake, you follow the path pass the Manor, and then from out of nowhere you see and hear the M4 motorway 🛣, it’s really a sight to behold, that in this park stands a major trunk road bizarre see my picture below.
As I said the manor was not open on our visit so we carried under the M4 towards a bridge over the grand union canal, this then snakes 🐍 it’s way around near Brentford, I took a wonderful shot of one of the locks see below.
We then made our way towards the nearby Syon Park, again it wasn’t open on our visit, but we used the path to take in the wonderful vista of Syon House see below my picture.
We exited the path and we were now in isleworth, there is a lovely pub called the London Apprentice, again it wasn’t open on our visit but I bet when it is would be lovely to have a drink or bite to eat there.
Moving on, we continued pass all the boat sheds and houses that adorned this area of London, before finally making it to the Richmond Lock and Footbridge see picture below, as we walked over it the tide was very high and as my picture shows later they could have use it to manage the river flow.
So once over the footbridge we made our way up to the White Swan 🦢 pub, this hidden gem of Richmond to quench our thirst after our long walk, then the heeavns opened, and has I already mentioned on leaving the pub the river had overflowed causing the river to burst its banks now see my picture.
We then walked up through a area called Richmond Green and Little Green before making our way to the station.
So in summary, be on you BOSTON MANOR, and SYON yourself up and LOCK out for hidden gems along this fantastic walk, so go on what you waiting for.

As well as its history Boston Manor Park is a star of TV. It is crossed by the elevated section of the M4. The area below the motorway has featured in many, many TV shows. It is well worth exploring the less manicured areas of the park that go north under the flyover and down to the canal.

🏠Boston Manor House🏠 opens every weekend but only during summer seasons.
Like many estates in town, Boston Manor House started off when Henry the runaway groom seized whatever once belonged to the Pope. And like many parks in town, these gigantic greens are now for everyone.
Every attraction is restricted to its conservation status. Only the ground floor and a part of the first floor are open. You can take a glimpse of what the second floor looks like though by going halfway up the stairs. And there, you can imagine how it’s like back two hundreds ago, where you get to see the staircase's expensive multicoloured wallpaper. Dated late 18th century for its style.
Pic: ‘1623’ marked on this corner of the ceiling, the year the house was built.

Great walks, lawns & woodlands, a large pond/lake within the shadown of the House - this in itself has many unique historic features !
Easy to get to by Train, Tube & bus, even the Canal...
