I am 5.8” and 250lbs. I know there is a 250 lbs weight limit, so I’m very nervous that I’ll have a problem. I wear a size 18/women’s XXL. I’m hoping to lose some weight befor our trip but i don’t want to bank on that. If I am able to handle the strenuous part with no problem, is weight a huge issue? I’m worried I’ll get stuck in a small part of the cave!!
I am a ladies 14-16 and wear mostly XL and 1X clothing. I was able to get a wetsuit to fit comfortably and a lifejacket a well. If you have good mobility and no fear of the water or smaller spaces you will do fine. Most of the cave is quite "open"with lots of room to move but you will be travelling single file with your group. You will not get stuck in any of the places we went to, but it is important to have mobility and good balance so you can manoeuvre the uneven surfaces more than anything,
I think you will be fine. There are no really tight parts of the cave. Enjoy
I am also a larger woman and we had quite a larger man with us in our group too. He was absolutely fine, and the staff were so accommodating - if you are ok physically, you will absolutely love floating in the water. It is an experience to not miss!!!
I don’t think you will get stuck. I’m 5’10 and 240. I fit through everything. It is a little exhausting to do the Wild but if you can handle bike hike and swim for 8 hours you will be good. If not don’t worry there are less strenuous tours. The “wild” is the most strenuous and I did it fine.
You will be fine. The staff will provide you with a life vest so you can walk and swim through the river. It is a wonderful experience.
