My husband and I spent two weeks at this lovely hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable, as were the pillows. We made breakfast a few times and the kitchen was stocked (skillets, plates, etc) well for this, also. The staff is great. Martha at the front desk is a treasure. We were having trouble with the WiFi after the first of the year and she just took our phones and corrected it! I had a minor accident on Hildago and Fili and Erika took such good care of me. We were always able to find chairs available whenever we went to the beach. I can highly recommend.

This hotel was clean, beautiful, and offered the absolute best service. We were so sad to leave after a week of being waited on by Hugo and Eloy. Both were so friendly, helpful, and efficient that we left extra tips at the end of the week. I can't recommend this hotel and the staff enough.

It’s gotta be good because I think that’s the eighth time we’ve stayed at Ixchel! They never disappoint. There’s nothing to complain about from the cleanliness of the condo to the gentlemen who serve drinks and food on the beach! Can’t wait to visit again!

We are a well travelled family and usually stay in Marriott properties (JW, Westin, Ritz) or Four Seasons. We booked last minute so the hotel we really wanted was full and we chose this hotel primarily because of the TA reviews. Overall we were not happy and we would not return.
The hotel is located on the best beach on the island surrounded by bars and restaurants which makes it easy for food and drinks. Getting a chair or two is hit or miss depending on how early you come. It’s a public beach so your view can be easily and quickly obstructed (not an issue just an observation).
We paid $25 (all day rental) to use the beach club loungers a few meters down on the right as they were more spaced out. Highly recommend doing that if you don’t want to feel like a sardine all day!
We stayed for 3 nights in room 106 on the ground floor. The room had a king bed and we requested a rollaway at an additional $30 per night charge.
The room felt more like an Airbnb room than a hotel room and unfortunately is was quite dirty. It felt like the owners had left for a weekend and we were taking care of it whilst they were gone. The sofa, sofa cushions and pillows had stains on them which made sitting on them very uncomfortable. No idea the last time anything was properly cleaned. The walls are literally paper thin so you can hear everything going on in the next room. Shower pressure was ok.
Staff aren’t rude but they also weren’t overly friendly. Only Hugo in the restaurant was very sweet.
The hotel is a very short walk from the ferry terminal and getting from Cancun was very easy. We hired one of the guys with a bike on arrival.
Overall if we had a better room which was clean we may have had a better experience.

1. Great location, love the access to the beautiful beach, we saw one of the most glorious sunsets we have ever seen. Access to the restaurants and downtown, love the vibe, food and atmosphere.
2. Great swimming pool, especially the shallow one for little kid, our kid played there for hours. Between playing on beach and in pool he spent days and wouldn’t want to leave.
3. Big spacious rooms, comfy beds, nothing fancy yet so relaxing.
4. Last but not the least the staff. Everyone was so nice and stress free, starting with the manager Mauricio who greeted us with a huge smile and vibes of relaxation. After that everyone we interacted with, be it Guillermo or Pepe at front desk who always had a smile on their face, juileta and Gonzalez at the restaurant who customized dishes to our choices, Martha, Adrianna and Sandra who helped ensure smooth checkout and many others whose names I may not remember (I apologize) but every time you run into staff, you will never get a vibe of stress or frustration but rather a warm welcoming smile. And a lot of it is attributed to Mauricio who leads with great example!

Lastly we casually asked if we could do a late checkout, they unfortunately had another reservation for our room, but they took their hospitality to another level by providing us another room and letting us use it until however long we desired. We needed it only for couple extra hours but their willingness to let us have it until much later in day just speaks to their hospitality!

No, pero hay un menú muy amplio que tal vez se adapte a tus necesidades
Hi, I don't speak Spanish, but I think you're asking me if there is a coral reef off of the beach at the hotel? I don't snorkel, so not really sure, but can tell you that the water is a beautiful color, shallow very far out, and very calm. And usually onsargassum!
No. You can buy food at the restaurant and there are lots of choices nearby, but you will have to pay.
No food is included with the room rate except for coffe and bottled water.
