TE.. LO... CHE..QUEN!! 3 dias despues nunca vinieron a checarlo. ALTAMENTE... NO RECOMENDABLE!!!!!!…
I would well warn anyone from staying at these Amueblados. The customer service is absolutely awful. Upon first look, these furnished apartments are very enticing as they are very economical by the week (average $200 USD) and the furnishings seem to be ok. My husband and I had planned to stay in Leon for 3 weeks. The Amueblados San Isidro offer rooms for $200/week or $550 for the month. We decided to purchase by the first two weeks as we weren't sure if we would be staying for the third week. As the establishment required a $1000 peso deposit, we left this with them as well. The apartment we were given was on the 3rd floor (of 4 floors). It had two bedrooms and the furnishings were fine (except that they don't give you any dishes or cutlery so we had to buy some - isn't that the point of a furnished apartment?) Our first night there should have been the warning signal as we got barely a few hours sleep. The neumatic machine that pumps water to the roof was running all night and made a terrible noise. When we complained the next morning, they told us that there was something wrong with the neumatic but that it would be fixed that day. Over the next few days, the neumatic continued to sound all hours of the night (althought it was not quite as bad as the first night). As well, we discovered an awful smell in the bathroom. We complained SEVERAL times to the buidling manager but we were treated like we were exaggerating or being petty and they told us to flush our toilet well and that "someone would look into it." The smell was unbearable. When they told us, after 2 weeks, that they had another room available on the first floor we took them up on it immediately. We should have better investigated the second room before agreeing to it - but we were so anxious to get away from the noise and the smell. Interestingly, the maid let us know, only after we moved rooms, that the smell in the washroom had been a problem for a long time as they had installed a toilet too big for the hole that was made to install it. In the second apartment there was one bedroom - absolutely NO windows, a small bar fridge and a hot plate instead of a stove. The management refused to give us a cheaper rate for the week as "they charge by the person, not by the apartment size". The little bar fridge's freezer was completed frosted over and the management told us we would have to defrost it on our own if we wanted it defrosted. Additionally, as we would find out the next morning - the apartment had no hot water. They tried to tell us we were either turning on the wrong tap or that we needed to leave the water running longer as the hot water takes a while to travel from the roof to the first floor. Additionally, there "had to have been hot water" as the woman who was in the apartment just before us never complained. This was a final straw for us and we told them we would not pay the week's rent until the hot water was restored. We should have left right then and there. 3 days later, the room finally had hot water - apparently the hot water valve for our room had somehow been turned off. Immediately they demanded the rent. When we told them we didn't think it was fair to pay the full week's rent when we didn't have a full week of hot water - they would not budge. They wouldn't even bargain with us to pay the rate of a full month ($550) vs the rate of 3 weeks by the week ($600). Then we tried another route, we asked if they would give us an extra day - absolutely no room for negotiation. We demanded to speak to the owner, but the manager claimed that she did not have the number of the owner, only the number of a person who contacted the owner for her. We asked tfor that person's number and she refused to give it. And if all this wasn't bad enough - on our last day moving out - they made us wait more than 12 hours for our deposit back as they apparently didn't have $1000 pesos on the premise. Ridiculous. Honestly - there are many Amueblados (furnished apartments) in Leon. You'd do yourself well to pay a bit more. It's worth it.…
