The owner speaks great English, helps with onward travel plans to Porto, Novo, Santo Antão & Praia, Santiago. Stored big baggage and room for 2 nights later. The A/C was very welcone after being sunburned.
The breakfasts are GREAT! The best breads yet, marmalade, fruit, and lots of good coffee, none of that instant crap!
2 ship worker guests fixing the propeller on one of the ferries acted as my guardian angels my first night to get water and a late night meal, there and back, safely (actuay it felt totally safe). 1 tokk me down there and the other came to get me at the restaurant.

The placeis laid back and the main avenue near the port is lined with palm trees.
I walked around the local neiborhoods and no one said "Boo". Usually just a "Bom Dia" or "Bom Tarde".
You can get food at the grocery store for CVE 150 ~ 200 or eat at a restaurant for CVE 400 ~ 500.
