It is a British era bungalow converted into a small guest house. Though the rooms are furnished with modern amenities for comfort, the old world charm is retained. The place is maintained sparklingly clean. The complimentary breakfast is the only food made at the guest house.... it contains very few items but they are well made. On the flip side, the bungalow is located along a very narrow road, descending very sharply from the main bazaar junction Laitumkhrah. It is impossible to step out for a stroll or to walk up to a restaurant. Meals ordered at the guest house are prepared at a restaurant owned by the same owner and brought by staff on a "Scooty". The 'sabji' and 'daal' were fine but the chapatis were simply yuck. Do book at Mid Pine but only if you have a vehicle at your disposal or of you have very strong legs! …
House keeping staff stolen our belongings . All staffs are rude no professionalism. Avoid this one worst experience in Shillong . Food is bad . No respect for guests. Smelly bathrooms . Just had the worst stay in my life
Its a very tastefully done up property with old fashioned designed rooms, wooden flooring, yet with all the trendy facilities offered inside the room. One of the good things is, this home stay is a walking distance to Laitumkhrah market, that is one of the main markets of Shillong. The breakfast is limited to 1 or 2 dish, but filling. You will have to inform the home-stay well in advance if you want to order lunch/dinner.
