今回2回目の利用になります。Renovateされていてかなり綺麗になってました。周辺の便利も良く快適にすごせました。部屋WiFiもつながります。ただ蚊が入ってくるんですね。Airconditioned roomで蚊取り線香を焚いてました。

It would be easier to say what was good. We had a very humid and uncomfortable room without window (we could choose between the room we had and another one with a 30x30 cm window, useless). The A/C was unbearably noisy, the mattress uncomfortable and dirty. We found hair and dirt in the bathroom, with only few toilet paper. Towels dirty and with holes, ants in the shower and lizards running on the wall. We could hear any kind of noise through the walls of our room, we also had to complain a couple of times because it was impossible to sleep.
The positive aspects are the friendly and helpful staff and the perfect position to have incredible street food and easy access to the beach.

Stayed for 1 night and could be the last time..unmaintained room with totally unfriendly staff. Even if you ask for extra access card, they will not consider. Room aircond took almost 3 hours to cold.

Max Ferringhi Hotel is a fairly new one located at the main square in Batu Ferringhi where many other hotels and other businesses are situated, just a stone's throw away from the beach.
The rooms are located in 2 adjacent buildings linked to each other. There are various types of rooms from which you can choose, but mine was a standard room without a window which should have been priced RM155 according to the pricelist in the lobby, but which I was given for just RM125, even though I had been told minutes earlier the standard rooms were all full. Somebody had cancelled at last minute, releasing the room for other guests.
The room walls were painted white with tiles of the same colour on the floor. The room was fairly small and basic. Apart from a double bed, the only other furniture in the room was a bedside table which was not situated beside the bed, but at the end of the room. On top of it, there was a tray with 2 small bottles of water and 2 mugs. The room also had a wall-mounted mirror, TV, aircon and towel holder that doubled up as a clothes-hanger stand. Otherwise, there was just a foot-operated bin on the floor.
The room was very clean and looked fairly new, except for black marks on the wall. There was, however, no remote control for the TV or the air conditioner in the room on my arrival. I was given the aircon remote for another room which worked perfectly, but no functioning remote could be found for the TV. Therefore, I have no idea what channels may be available on it.
The bathroom was tiled, but looked less than new, although it was fully functional. Body lotion and shampoo are provided and the shower works well. Plenty of toilet paper was also provided.
The main drawback of the room was its thin walls with poor sound insulation. I could clearly hear the family next door who had noisy children, although they were quiet during sleeping hours. Doors slamming and door alarms sounding could also be heard, but not during sleeping hours. I guess that if your neighbours were mainland Chinese, you might not get much sleep in the rooms.
The staff were pleasant and polite and were helpful and caring in their approach. They were easy to deal with.
I was quite satisfied with the hotel and would stay here again in the future, if I returned to Batu Ferringhi.
