The place is well located and really cute. The bakery is right next to it, which offers an amazing breakfast and lunch The bambu tent is cute, the shower and toilets are private. Only issue is the water running all night from the shower, the bitting ants in the bed… and the cockroaches coming out of the wall which (tbh) made me unable to sleep all night. Turning on the night to drink water, we uncountered a dozen crawling on the bed and floor.
This is the nicest Hotel in Santa Teresa, by far!Perfect ly located in Playa Carmen on the most consistent beachbreak. We came here knowing noone and left with friends for life, including the wonderful local owners. Marcos, Jana, Oscar, Monica, Carlos and Rudi will welcome you like family, take you on trips and teach you how to surf. And they are better than any other surf teachers I've had. We Will definitely be back, miss the place already!! Pura vida, Mats and Jenny
The hostel is tucked away in a cozy spot off the main drag. (The Bakery is right out front and definitely THE breakfast spot!) Facilities were simple and clean with plenty of storage space [if needed]. Shared facilities of the kitchen is a big, communal space. Guests were super friendly, often sharing food, snacks and drinks. At times, can be a little noisy, though overall stay was very positive!! Surf lesson- Marco and his brother Carlos have been surfing most their lives and are 100% professionals. Fantastic bilingual skills and easy to follow/understand. Definitely recommend Marco as a surf teacher/guide.
