The Lough Rooms at The Artisan, (and indeed, The Artisan itself) were so good my wife and I went twice in a month!
On both occasions, our stays were perfect. We were greeted on both occasions by Ciaran, and quickly shown to our beautiful boutique rooms. The accommodation was well appointed, clean, warm and tastefully decorated. It had all the mod-cons we needed, with plenty of teas and coffee available, a comfortable bed, and very cool, modern bathrooms. Needless to say, we were happy!
We dined at The Artisan on the evenings of both our stays, and would recommend you do too. Book ahead, though, as it can be very busy.
The service is first class, with friendly, warm and professional staff, who were very attentive, and expedient. There was a fantastic range of wines available, but, if that's not for you there is plenty of choices in spirits, (many local) beers and a good cocktail list. However, it's the food, that outstanding tasty food, that blew us away. Whether it was the superb scallops, peerless pork belly bites, the oh so good goats cheese or the perfect pate, (a special) for starters, or the banging burger, champion chicken supreme, luscious lamb or succulent short rib of beef mains, all were exceptional! Same thing for breakfast, stunning shakshuka, marvelous croque madame and the fantastic French toast we absolutely loved it!
A huge thankyou to Alistair, Ciaran and the other members of staff for making a hugely enjoyable stay all the better.
A third trip has already been talked about! Faultless! Go book!

Rooms well decorated, bed very comfortable, bathroom A1, with a great powershower, very quite, excellent nights sleep. Evening meal superb, well presented and delicious, serving staff were very attentive friendly and super efficient, sorry I didn't get names, in order to give a proper 'shout out'. Would have liked access to the dining area earlier on Sunday, as I'm a morning person who likes a coffee and Newpaper, opening time 10.oc. Highly recommended, Will be back.

Great over night stay with dinner and breakfast in the artisan. Gorgeous rooms, comfy beds and great location. Food in the artisan was delicious and staff were attentive and friendly . Lovely walk in strangford and nice spot for coffee and drinks . Highly recommend

Beautiful rooms with nice touches of coffee machine and glass bottled water provided. Furnishings are comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to our room at morning time, consisted of orange juice, pastries and tasty granola fruit and your bowl. Our stay included a meal at the artisan cookhouse and it was divine. A relaxing stay. Staff were top class.
