Our family enjoyed staying in this cabin. The Mountain views were breathtaking.Staying so close to nature. It’s truly a dream come true. My three boys didn’t want to leave. Thank you Li and Vickie for this opportunity to enjoy your private heaven.

Beautiful view, quiet, remote, comfortable cabin a...
Beautiful view, quiet, remote, comfortable cabin and not far from Castle Rock and Lake Lure areas. Sitting on the back porch you can hear the waterfall. We did attempt to go down the steep path to it, but turned back because we could see rainfall had eroded parts of it.
The cabin is cozy and comfortable. Nice modern bathroom on the first floor and some updates in the 2nd floor bathroom.
Whether your staying for a short or longer term, just about everything you need is available.
We spent a lot of time on the back porch, enjoying the view. After a rainfall, the mountains fill with low clouds. And every day you're treated to a sunset.
If you like to hike or explore, its good to go down to the Castle Rock area. The State park is great. Castle Rock itself is a small town with a great selection of different eateries, and something for everyone. We had lunch at Lake Lure too.
A little farther past the lake is a nice grocery store, Ingles. Its fully stocked with almost everything you can imagine.
Everyone we met everywhere we went were polite, and neighborly.

The pictures simply do not do this property justice. From the moment we arrived, we were in awe of the view and the coziness of the home. We made it down to the waterfall on day two and it is reallllly steep but worth the effort to get down there. We were visited by bears and this was the highlight of the trip for my two little girls! Chimney Rock village has so many cute places to eat and grab a drink. Do not miss out on Fae Nectar, quite the unique experience and just added to our adventures. Chimney rock gem mining was so fun for our girls and playing in the river while we stopped at Chimney rock brewery! We couldn’t get enough of the view from sunrise until sunset and we are already planning our next trip! They have claimed this as BEST TRIP EVER. Thank you to the owners for being so responsive and accommodating and sharing your magical home with our family!

The views from the cabin were very nice and we had an overall pleasant stay. There was evidence of mice, which is half expected in a remote cabin. FYI the waterfall was completely inaccessible due to downed trees. From a value perspective I think there are better options.

My husband and I were in complete awe at the beaut...
My husband and I were in complete awe at the beauty of this property. We have stayed in so many beautiful homes over the years. Places by the ocean, beside rivers, and in the mountains, but this may well be our favorite. Pictures could never capture the how it is to have the mountains so very close. It is an incredibly peaceful spot with glorious breezes and perfectly situated decks, windows, and sliding glass doors.
The cabin itself is so cozy and welcoming with absolutely everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view from both the living room AND master bedroom was just glorious.
Also, there is so much to do in the area! We rode bikes on the nearby Thermal Belt Trail, and on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, which was just a couple hours away in Charlotte. We hiked at Chimney Rock, checked out the historic Lake Lure Inn, and did a boat tour on Lake Lure. We didn’t have time for much else, but Chimney Rock Village has plenty of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed it all, but our very favorite memories were from our time at the cabin - grilling steaks at sunset, watching a storm roll in, and enjoying morning coffee overlooking the mountains.
We enjoyed so many blessings during our stay, but perhaps the best of all was the extraordinary kindness and helpfulness of our host, Dr. Li. Thank you so very much.

The view from this secluded cabin is absolutely stunning! Sipping coffee every morning while rocking on the deck taking in the view was definitely a highlight of the trip. We did not attempt the hike to the waterfall due to the steepness and poison ivy on the trail. We are a clumsy bunch and this would not have ended well for us!
Li, the property owner, was extremely patient with all my questions and concerns before our trip. He promptly responded to my message about the air conditioning not working and sent a technician out on a Saturday afternoon.
My family and I would love to return to this gem if traveling to this area again!

This cabin is very nice with great decks for grilling, relaxing or just taking in the awesome mountain views. If it's too hot or too cold to go out, just sit in and look through large sliding glass doors, same great view. You can see same view out the main bedroom through it's sliding glass doors as well. Would stay again if in the area. Cabin has all you need, just bring the food and drinks...
